I ordered a chicken enchilada for lunch, it came with rice and beans on the side. The sauce was a light color that I was not familiar with on enchiladas. I dipped my finger in it to taste it and all I could taste was salt. So salty that u had to open up my tortilla shell and only eat the chicken out of (it was not as salty) . The beans and rice were dried out and the salsa had very little flavor. My friends ordered chicken quesadilla’s they came looking like a soft shell taco. ( lettuce , chicken and very little cheese. We have never seen quesadillas that came served this way. Overall our meal was very bad. I talked with the owner before we left mostly about the over salted food. I do not recommend this place.
Best Shrimp taco salad I have ever had!!! Margaritas were pretty dang good to! I will be back for sure :,)
Food was real good with a nice Texmex flair.Salsa was terrific. Not much of a wait. Reasonable.Give it a try. ZZ Top might eat there....
We have been in Oregon since November and have been searching for a really good Mexican restaurant. Have tried 2 others still a few I haven't tried. But Gilbertos is by far the best yet. The staff is super friendly, the restaurant is clean and the food is soooo good. They are a little pricey but you get what you paid for for sure. I will recommend this place to anyone.
If you want authentic Mexican food with incredible service, come here. We were greeted by the owner and seated immediately. Within moments we had chips and salsa. The salsa was made fresh and tasted delicious. The food was exactly what I wanted. Hot, delicious and everything was freshly made including the tortillas. No canned beans. I have tried all of the Mexican restaurants in the area and this was, by far, the best. We will be back. Warm, caring owners and family oriented. Can't wait to go back. Thank you, Gilberto, for a wonderful experience.
Was seated and then forgotten. Finally the owner took my order which was a meal and a beer. The food came out but I had to ask for my beer. The beans weren’t warm. The tortillas were hard and stiff and I couldn’t eat them but no one came by to check on me. As I was leaving Gilbert asked how everything was and I told him I was disappointed they had forgotten all about me and he just said I noticed that no apology was given.
This place was delicious! My wife and I and her sister all went out to eat together and we were impressed. The prices ain't halfbad as well. Well worth the trip!
The beans were dry and grated? Not good at all. They put beef gravy on everything! Normally Mexican restaurants put enchilada sauce on chicken enchiladas. The non-spicy salsa was bland, just tomatoes. The people were wonderful, but I won't be going back there to eat. My husband thought he was going to throw up after we left. Not good.
We were the only people in the restaurant and the manager was our server, he had to come back and ask our order 3 times and it was still all incorrect. Then got in an argument with my husband about how to serve and serve the correct food. Horrible service, horrible food, and horrible drinks. This is a horrible place it tastes really gross there’s like gravy stuff on the enchiladas and it was really sweet it was gross made me fell sick not like food poisoning sick but nauseous kind of sick this is the worst Mexican restaurant I’ve ever had I didn’t take leftovers and I didn’t eat any of my food except one bite never eat here I hate this place I will never come here again ????
Best Mexican food in the county, hands down. Always fresh, always welcoming, friendly staff and owners. Family owned, our family has been going here since they opened and the only changes have been for the better. Beautiful restaurant inside and out. Always clean and comfortable. Don't miss out if your traveling through, you won't regret it! Also vegetarian options for those who are looking, try the veggie nachos, the best from anywhere! Thank you Gilbert and family!
