Service was good and the place is clean. They could have had some music playing at an audible level.... It felt really awkward since it was so quiet.Unfortunately it's NOT at all fresh or authentic Mexican food. My chicken enchiladas were extremely bland. Where is the cilantro? No flavor in the rice, chicken, or sauce, The refried beans were good though. My friend felt the same way about her bland beef taco and chicken enchilada. After looking through the reviews, I see this is a standard complaint about the chain restaurant and the not so fresh food served. Then they always respond with "we will work towards making your next experience a better one" type answer. They know it's not good but they aren't going to change their menu. Just skip this place and find some real Mexican food nearby.
@sherrystollard - I just read your most recent review about Mazatlan Mexican Restaurant. I was there 03/16/2022, and the parking lot was full, ridiculously full in fact I had to park at the building next door. I am a regular here, and know the prices pretty well. A Baileys Coffee costs $9.00, it does not cost 18. It’s sad to see how one person that leaves 2 star reviews on multiple family owned businesses gets upset and makes up lies to hurt a business that supports the community a lot! Hope your attitude changes for the better!
This used to be a good affordable restaurant now if you order a drink it costs to $22 for 1 strawberry daiquiri. It's ridiculous. A cup of coffee with a shot of baileys is $18!! Most people cannot afford these prices. They said because of covid but other restaurants are not charging this much for a drink. I wondered why there were no cars in the parking lot! It was 5:30 and not one person in the bar. Good luck mazatlan with the outrageous prices that you are charging people.
Consistently good if you are looking for traditional tex mex type food. Portions were ample and just what you would expect. Pretty good service and kind staff. Good place to take kids and larger groups. Overall just a good place for what most Americans grew up knowing what is Mexican food.
This is a great local Mexican restaurant run by good people. The food is awesome, the drinks are amazing, and the atmosphere is very cool. People named Jon Gonzalez, that just moved here from California, don’t know what they are talking about. I’m glad he didn’t like it and won’t be coming back so that I don’t have to rub elbows with the likes of him.
Generic Mexican chain restaurant not authentic or fresh tasting. It doesn't have to be authentic to be good I have had this style of Mexican food done well and this place does not do it well. I blame my self I was hungry and in a new town. i made a bad call don't be like me choose something worth your hard earned money. Side note this is my first meal ever in Oregon I really hope the mex food and realy all the food is better than this stay tuned. Does anyone read these.
Went sat down. They gave me chips salsa & beans an a drink.Then she didn't come back for half hour.. Sorry I forgot about you. Than didn't come back for about another half hour. Oh sorry I forgot about you. Told her to cancel my dinner. So a while later.she came out with my dinner and it was cold. Next time she came by. I said bring my bill. She said what is the problem. I said the food is cold. I don't want it.I had to pay for it. Then she got mad because I wouldn't give her a tip. I said this is the last time I will be in here.In the past the food was always good and hot.
Food is just okay. I had the pollo mole and my partner had the cheese enchiladas without beans. Came with beans and took 10 extra minutes to get it correct. Did not twist my panties, just adequate. Margarita was weak.
