Our server was amazing, but the kitchen was a little slow. The food was good, but the sandwich could have been prepared a bit better. Definitely a staple of American diners. Having been short on staff for some time, I can say it was a better place to go in the past, but I still prefer it to many other options.
The was only one waitress on duty, she did a great job! Food was great quality, Beware portions are huge.
Wife and I both had tri tip. Mine was beef dip, and the other was tri tip lunch pltter. The meat was so tough as to be inedible. The waitress took off half of our bill. Comes down to poor management my my opinion.
The food was ok, the staff was nice the location was decent, the prices were quite high. If I knew that was due to them paying their staff higher, I'd be all about it, but it isn't. $35 with tip for 1 person to have French toast, 2 eggs, a cup of coffee, a biscuit, and a small glass of orange juice.The same order would be about $25 with tip at Shari's with the same quality.
Restaurant appeared somewhat rundown, not exactly sparkling clean. Carpet looks worn and dirty, smells a little off. Food was good portions, average quality. Service was fine. Breakfast totaled out at $51 for two people, which was really too much.
Was nice to see lots of younger kids working! Our waiter, Logan, even made me honey mustard from scratch because they were out of stock. Be patient and kind with them, they are trying.
Has such a great atmosphere and wonderful servers. My son and I love eating here. It's our spot to go when we eat out. The fish and chips are the best. So are the breakfasts which they serve all day.
Honestly the worst dining experience of my life. From the teenage "greeters" who ignored us, the missing waiter (like legitimately missing) to waiting an hour and 15 minutes for food, it felt like we were in a TV prank show. My daughter's food never came, the boys' hashbrowns were missing, and my sandwich was completely the wrong item. We tried and tried to be cool and patient. The place was dead, the waiter wanted no part of fixing anything and my daughter and I ended up never getting our replacement food. The craziest part was when some dude totally not in uniform came over smelling of cigarettes and beer and offered to make things right. Only to return saying he didn't have time or anything on the grill to make it right. ? It was bizarre and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND not eating here.
I have been to better Black Bear Diners. I got avocado toast. My toast was cold and burnt and the avocado was not good. On a positive side our host and waitress were super friendly
The restaurant was clean & cutely decorated! The wait staff very attentive, friendly & checked back with us to be sure we were enjoying our meals. Fish & chips were good! I'd recommend you try them! ???
