We are so glad (and frankly, surprised!) that a place like this exists in Portland! 渣男 is a Taiwanese pub that serves authentic dishes other “Taiwanese” restaurants around town don’t offer, but you can get in Taipei. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want to go beyond the usual popcorn chicken because there is so much more to Taiwanese cuisine. I think we’ve ordered every item on the menu, and nothing has disappointed. Drinks are fun too! If you are a homesick Taiwanese, this place is a must! I can’t get enough!
The food portions were little and overpriced. The food took 20 minutes to arrive and was greasy and subpar. A party of 6 with NO RESERVATION caused the staff to move us to a different table when we were already seated. We asked for water and it was not received. The music was blasting and was too loud. Would definitely not come again and would not recommend to others looking to eat here.
This place has some nice vibe and good selection of late night dishes. I like most of their 卤味, I particularly like their use of sweet sauce with many dishes, it is exactly the flavor from the memory. The 卤味五拼 has a pretty good portion for 3-4 IMO.
Really delicious food and excellent flavors! The service was phenomenal, despite them being busy. Super unique options, I would recommend getting a number of dishes, as some of them are a bit on the smaller side. But everything was super tasty!
Delicious authentic Taiwanese food! Have been here many times, mostly takeout, but finally got to dine in person. Friendly and attentive staff. Favorites are the pork belly bao, mince pork over rice, house special noodle, five item plate, cucumber salad, and love the miss next classroom butterfly tea drink. It gets busy around dinner time, so I recommend making a reservation.
4.5 with no rounding. Food are great, just kinda salty, just so you guys know. Drinks options are amazing. They make amazing drinks. Definitely come back just for the drinks. Some item is overprice and some is underprice I think.
First time eating at this restaurant which is a minute from my home. Been wanting to check it out for the longest time and heard amazing things about this place, even a Taiwanese friend said it is pretty authentic.I have to say, didn’t know what to expect but me and my partner enjoyed the food very much. Everything we ordered had great flavor and we could not stop eating. We ordered the pork belly baos, house noodles, fried tofu, braise beef shank, eggs, and cucumber salad. Everything was so good, fresh, light, and full of flavor.Definitely gonna come here again and be part of our routine.
Taiwan bistro offers authentic Taiwanese food that other restaurants don’t have. We’ve been here multiple times, everything we ordered was very flavorful. Their drinks were very creative and tasty too.
Doesn't look much for the outside but cute interior....kinda has a Taiwanese streetside eatery feel. Staff was very courteous, helped explain the various food options. Tapas style food here. Delicious and portion sizes were reasonable. Got the pork buns and the pork shoulder. Both were very good.
We’re finally here! Super delicious and authentic Taiwanese food. Love everything we order, especially the beef combo and black rice cake. Also the flavored Taiwan beer is a hidden jam❤️??
