Fantastic copy of a classic Chicago style hot dog. Super exited to have found it. They got all the right ingredients down with awesome flavors. A must was the poppy seed buns and select salt.Cons: customer service could be better (won’t get into it); although I love celery salt, they put a little too much of it on the dogs; buns were not steamed.

Always been satisfied with the dogs here, adventurous additions to make them truly unique. Highly recommend the chili dog (I can't remember the menu name because we've not been able to get down there in a while, but we'll remedy that soon). You want crinkle cut fries? They'll give you enough of those to satisfy.

Fun atmosphere, great beer, and good dogs.Lots of seating inside and outside. There's a canopy outside if you want to eat outside and it's still raining. There are games outside. Some of the games you have to ask the bartender to play. The alcohol selection is pretty good. The bartender knows what they're doing. My only complaint, and it's not really a complaint but a preference thing, is that I didn't really enjoy the dogs. I had four dogs and I didn't really like them. My friend had four other dogs, and he said they were all right.Overall, if my friends wanted to go I'd like to go. I might even suggest a couple times.

Yup, the Chicago dog is legit and I think it’s the only one in Portland too. It even had sport peppers and the poppyseed bun, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was actually a S. Rosen’s. Only thing off is maybe the frank not being up to regulation size.

Always enjoy it, been coming since I was a lad. Zach the owner down below, MG 500 on left and tokyo.devin on right.

The hotdogs and beer here are great!! I was really impressed with this places atmosphere. Also it's a great place to catch Johnny Franco !

It’s hard to get a decent hot dog in Oregon, but this place has about the best you will find in the PNW.

You might scoff when you hear “hot dogs.” You might think you’ve outgrown them, that they are a relic of your childhood far gone. You would be wrong.Go to Zach’s Shack and rediscover what you once loved. These aren’t just hot dogs, they’re experiences. Every one of them is expertly made and delicious. Grab a beer and a dog and live like a Chicagoan.Plenty of covered eating space in the back. Ping pong table out there too. The bathroom was clean.

Great drink and beer prices, excellent Chicago hot dogs, and a beautiful covered patio in the back with table tennis, heat lamps, and an uncovered area with Cornhole and other games. I consider this a hidden gem for myself, friends, and even my kids!

found this place while waiting for my dogs to be groomed.cool lil place and one of the very few places you can get a hot dog these days. many different ways they make them or you can tell them how u would like it. its gunna be my new place to have a drink and wait for the pups.
