Update:Had the set meal 1 &2: speechless.. The fried scampi - you can’t tell that it is not shrimp. Sweet and sour chicken- you wouldn’t notice it wasn’t meat either.Original post:Some of the “meat” had me initially fooled. Bring your meat eating friends and order the “meat alternative “ for them. They probably won’t know the difference. I laugh at other reviewers who complain about the meat dishes! They got fooled completely. I ordered and recommend the beef chow fun, squid green peppers. Will be adding this place to my regular haunts!
100% vegan. We eat here once a week. Everything is amazing. Favorites: mao po tofu, beef with broccoli, house special chow mein, peppered beef, and the hot and sour soup. We take out of town guests here at least once. The staff are friendly and remember us and what we typically order - makes us feel like regulars.
As a meat eater I want to express how my mind was blown! The menu is confusing as it states different kinds of meats (this is a vegan place?!)Don't be confused, it means "tastes like". The food arrived quickly and it tasted superb! The rations are also very generous. Highly recommend for vegans and carnivores alike!
Despite the vegetarian in their name they serve mostly meat based dishes. They do have more than the average number of vegetable dishes on the menu but not enough by far to call themselves vegetarian. Also their veggie dishes are odd. I ordered a tofu dish expecting tofu and veggies in sauce, but it was just tofu. If your vegan or vegetarian give it a miss, if you want decent Chinese then this is a good option.
Absolutely wonderful place, so many great vegetarian options! The portions are amazing and the quality of the food is phenomenal! Our hostess and server was very sweet and helpful, I cannot recommend this place enough!!!
Wow, talk about vegan options, this place has so many. The hardest is definitely picking one plate. I did the combo #2 and it was delicious. Prices are very reasonable for vegan food. Definitely recommend.
We live in Seattle and our favorite Chinese vegan restaurant closed during COVID. We have driven to Portland just to get food from Yuan Su, it is so good! Their mapo tofu has that tongue-numbing pepper in it and we have loved everything we have tried there. Only wish they were closer to home!
Tasty vegan Chinese food! Love the green beans and orange chicken. Great for feeding a crowd so you can try everything.
So stinking good! They have something really amazing here! The food was so good and the texture of all the veggie meat was spot on, perfect! Super spacious and clean! Definitely a must try!
I am not a vegetarian or vegan, but I was craving Chinese food and not wanting to drive far so I figured I’d give it a try since it’s close to my house. OMG! It is SO good! Honestly I couldn’t tell the difference that it wasn’t meat. Only thing I noticed was it wasn’t loaded with sodium and I felt great after eating it! Typical Chinese food makes me sooooo full and uncomfortable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!! I got my food to-go but they have a large dinning room that is great for gatherings! Service is excellent and staff was so sweet! You can also see the kitchen from the receptionist and it looked very clean!
