Incredible experience! Absolutely loved the atmosphere, and the staff is very friendly, timely, and accommodating. We ordered the spicy roll and fatty maki roll, and the Marukami ramen and Chicken Paitan ramen. All of it was very flavorful and fresh. A perfect experience, look forward to returning!!

I love it here and I always have a good time. The staff are friendly but not always the most available; probably because they’re busy because the food is really good. I always know I’m going to spend a lot of money but it’s more reasonable than many other similar places. The sushi rolls are never quite exactly what I want but always tasty nonetheless.

I really got a kick out of coming to Yataimura Maru! The place was packed and had such a wonderful vibe going on. The layout of the restaurant was very interesting and the employees were absolute pros. Next time I go I'm definitely going to try the miso soup! And they are trans friendly too??

The BEST ramen I've ever had! I love chicken ramen and most places only serve pork. I loved every part about the ramen, the broth, the noodles, and the way the chicken was fried! Definitely a place to revist and is now my favorite ramen. Wait time was a bit long though for a Monday night.

Everything was excellent. The Tako Yaki was some of the best I've had. I suggest subbing for real crab when possible, like we did on the rainbow roll. The ramen is very good as well. Everything we tried on the menu was solid. They also have bidets in the bathrooms so that's pretty cool too.

Food was good. The service was very slow and our table was sticky. Our water glasses were very dirty or stained.

Amazing and fresh sushi! Also, first place in Portland that had awesome Japanese curry! Finally found a sushi place that we actually like our here.

Where do I even start? Their mask policy as anti-science and makes no sense at all when 3 feet from the door are people sitting down with out a mask and they want me to go across the street to buy a mask to take a single step to sit down at the bar when I could just cover my face with my coat. You can't substitute or customize dishes as when we wanted to change a type of noodle out for another type of noodle they stated, "we cannot mix broth and noodles from different dishes".... really? I get more customization at a fast food place. They didn't ask us if we wanted something to drink when taking our order and then later come by to make sure we know it is last call even though we never ordered anything. This is a pressuring tactic to try and get us to order a drink and is annoying. The water that they serve is lukewarm unfiltered tap water that you can see particulate floating around in and their appetizer portions are embarrassingly small for the price. When asking for a gluten free option for a noodle they substituted the pork out of the meal as well with out even telling us, we had to ask for the pork to be put back in and they tried to charge us for this. They embarrassingly state their own food, "Smells just divine!" when serving it.Yuck.
