In town for convention wanted some Jamaican food. I was very hopeful after reading the reviews. Needless to say all of my food was dry. The chicken was seasoned well, but everything else was bland. Maybe I should have went for take out for lunch instead of dinner.
Great food! I had the jerk chicken tacos, jerk chicken wings and my first experience with a Jamaican beef patty. Really enjoyed the flavors and the flaky buttery pastry crust. Certainly a unique and tasty treasure.
Delicious food. Super friendly staff. Great vibes and awesome tropical drinks
This is actually a very favorite spot. But unfortunately they should update their hours. The business next door said they were closed for the last 2 months. Thankful I didn't order door dash or I would of been extremely out of luck and money. Hope they return one day.*Update response*Instead of lying on your website wasting folks time update temporary closed. Smh no need to take the review personal. Unlike yourself I have no reason to lie about the business. HAHA that part

Used the online ordering system on their website. As I was heading down, I happened to check my email and saw the order was canceled. No call, no explanation, just cancelled. I called to find out they cancelled the whole order because they ran out of one of the menu items. Seems a bit ridiculous since they could’ve called and we could’ve came to an arrangement. Also, they put oxtail gravy on my food without telling me even though I do not eat red meat. They need to ask before they do that. Overall subpar experience. Just sucks that they’re one of the few Caribbean restaurants in Portland.
I spent a year in Jamaica in the mid-90s as an exchange student and boy did this food take me back. Delicious and authentic. Happy to share the flavors of Jamaica with my wife and kids.
Food is flavor full and served hot & fresh. Large portions. Great music, vibes, and service.
We learned of this restaurant through Top Chef. I only wish they were in Nashville!!! The neighborhood came in and out while we ate and you could hear everyone's appreciation.
I've had the brown stewed chicken, ackie and saltfish, jerk chicken, curried chicken, curried shrimp, and oxtail. Every time I thought I died and went to heaven.Best dancehall spot in town. Also hosts Portland's only kizomba monthly.I feel sorry for you if you don't eat here.
