I'd tried their single malt in the past and loved it! My son arranged for a tour of the distillery near downtown Portland...Distillery Row.The tour guide was very informative and it was apparent that he loved his craft. It lasted over an hour for 10 dollars which included a flight of their four main whiskeys starting with the American Single Malt and ending with their Single Malt Cask Strength. All of their whiskeys are excellent, but my favorite was the American Single Malt. I would also recommend joining one of their two membership plans.The Explorer Club is approximately 100 dollars per quarter and includes one bottle per quarter and a complimentary tour. The Cask Club is approximately 300 dollars per quarter and includes three bottles per quarter and additional benefits.

Wife tasted 4 regular plus a 5th small batch. Loved it and got her a bottle. Staff was great, friendly and knowledgeable.
Westward Whiskey came to Portland on a covered wagon on the old Oregon Trail. Yep, they packed up the whole warehouse on a big wagon, hitched up a bunch of horses, and brought it here for us to enjoy. And the whiskey is really good, and unique, as you would expect. I mean, you can't expect everyone to hitch a bunch of horses to their warehouse. So this is unique and really good. Go try it. You'll love it!And you can take some home! And you don't even need horses. Although, at the price of gas, you might like some. But the whiskey is great!
Michael gave us the full rundown of our tasting flight, including what makes Westward special. His knowledge made the experience even better. And on our way out, he recommended a great place for dinner nearby. I love supporting local businesses — especially whisky related ones — and for them to encourage us to stay in the neighborhood makes it all the better.
Had a really great tasting here at the distillery. Those pouring had excellent knowledge of product and guided you through the entire flight answering any questions you may have and describing the nuances of each taste to a tee. Will return my next trip to Portland.

Super nice, great whiskey. We showed up with a large group, without reservations when they were super busy but they managed to squeeze us in.
Genuinely I can say it was the best chill environment for enjoying good company top-notch whiskey is just the bonus ??
