Wailua is super fun! We were expecting the kind of shaved ice where it’s a bit chunky, but it was really smooth, almost like snow. The flavors were excellent, the presentation is very pretty, and the portions are impressively large. Trust me, you’ll love it.You have to order online, even when you’re there in person, and they’ll call your order out when it’s ready.
This place is so crazy good!! I've never had shaved ice like this in my life, if i could get this every day i would. They are currently only taking online orders and the wait after ordering is about 10 mins. So refreshing and delicious, did not taste artificial and so well priced. Would absolutely come again, complete 10/10.
I honestly can’t describe how delicious the Ube shaved ice was here. Possibly one of my favorite desserts of all time. The portion was huge which was great because I did not want to stop eating! The shaved ice was sweet, light, refreshing, and flavorful (ube with coconut). FYI you order online and it is a pickup window- no seating in the shop. My order took about 5min. I’m already planning the next time I can stop by!
I am normally not the biggest fan of shaved ice but this place was amazing. The Ube shaved ice is a must get. It melts quite quickly so I would recommend getting a smaller size. Seems like the perfect treat for a warm day but was equally wonderful on a nice spring day. They have their website posted outside and you can just order online.
Ordered Ube with Ube moose. The coconut milk and sugariness add in by default drowned out any Ube flavors…The shave ice texture is on point. Had I closed my eyes and was told is just coconut shaved ice I would give a better rating. The purple is just food coloring unfortunately.Also no trash cans… lucky the swee2O next door didn’t mind taking the bowl when we went in for their taro drink.
I was thinking snow cones but this is SHAVED ICE and it has nothing to do with snow cones. It is SO MUCH BETTER!!!!! I am only sad they don’t have more locations because if you don’t live here (or Hawaii) you are missing out! Sweet and fluffy and delicious! I had the Ube and highly recommend it!
Quick, delicious, good price!We ordered on the phone, the process was very simple and easy.The wait was under 5 minutes (we came in February and it wasn’t busy)I’m sure it gets a lot busier in the summer but definitely worth it!We ordered the Ube shaved ice. Delicious, not too sweet, huge portion!!!We will be back!!
Wailua is soo delicious I am soo happy we tried it out! I was nervous to order the ube flavor as I’ve never tried ube before, however, I loved it!! The cream they put on top really ties the whole treat together. I want to go here every single day!!!
Has a family run feel to it. And they make an excellent product for a great Price!
In love with this place, always wanted to try Hawaiian shave ice. First time here was amazing, the almond joy one it’s just delicious. A lovely piece of Hawaii in Portland.
