Unique food and flavors. The Norwegian meatballs with cabbage and cheese gravy were very filling and tasty. The lingonberry tea was yummy too. Good friendly service.
We ordered this to go. We got the smoked salmon wrap, meatball wrap, and the hazelnut mushroom. The hazelnut was very very salty. The meatballs weren't bad but weren't good. The Salmon was the best option but wasn't memorable. None of it was horrendous if you don't mind the salt but it wasn't really worth the cost.
Blow your mind food truck. You will not be disappointed. Root veggie mash, lefse wraps, wraps are great.
The flavors at this food truck are amazing! I was curious about the concept of viking soul food since I am African American and have eaten a lot of Black soul food. I sampled a number of their dishes and immediately grasped the concept. It's basically the soul food idea of creating hearty comfort food but with really strong and distinctive flavors. It was an amazing experience and I will definitely be back for more soon!
First, the service was great. I'm assuming it was the owner. Second, the food was excellent! We tried the Norwegian meatballs wrap and the Polse wrap with Mjollnir sauce. This is some of the best food truck food I've ever had. The flavors, textures, composition, and lefse were excellent! We will definitely be returning!
This place is fantastic! Tucked away in a very cool food garden, make sure you head all the way back and get some Scandinavian street food! We tried three different lefse, and all of them were incredible. BEST meatballs I've ever had, no joke, and the sausage was killer. The Troll Snacks are also something to try, super delicious. Authentic Scandinavian flavors and extremely reasonable prices with very friendly service! Check them out!
The explosion of flavor is better than seeing the sun during a Portland winter. Highly recommend.
The polsa lefse wrap is truly the best thing I've had in a long time! I've been here probably 10 times and never get tired of it! I haven't even made it past the polsa lefse wrap and tried any other items because this one is so damned good!
Have to go here every time we visit Portland. It’s simple food and yet is in my top 2 places in the world that I daydream about. The other is in Borough Market in London at Kappacasein. (Best grilled cheese sandwich, AKA Toasties.)
