Verde Cocinaâs food is very good and healthy. It has lots of flavor and I really appreciate that itâs gluten-free. The service was fantastic as usual
A little loud for my taste.
Great food-just don't bring kids. Markedly unfriendly from start to finish from multiple staff. We get it now, no kids are welcome. For reference, these were three school age kids who remained in their seats and did not have a loud volume.
We love Verde Cocina. We miss the Sylvan location which was our go to. Glad to have en la Perla as an option.
Dont come in here thinking itâs traditional mexican food, its whitegirl style Mexican inspired but still good, lot of veggie n vegan options

Verde Cocina in la Perla remains a go-to for us, even tho we live well outside Portland proper! While having fewer options for dinner entrees than many restaurants, the menu is still very diverse and creative - something for everybody, for sure. The food is super-fresh and tasty, too; it's very clear that they take special pride in presentation, creative ingredient matching, and importantly - taste and portions! Special kudos for being allergen friendly on multiple fronts :) A true gem in Portland!!
Nice surprise food was excellent service was awesome. Looking forward to a return visit to try some other dishes. Will tell all our foodie friends!
The wait staff was very helpful in choosing what we wanted to eat! The food came out fast and was the best food I have had in a long time.
We weren’t sure what the plant based Mexican food would taste like, but it was delicious! We both had the Chile Rellano and were not disappointed. The Sangria was refreshing. The service was great. We enjoyed the experience so much, we bought a gift card for a friend so he could come have a wonderful experience too.
