When you first walk in the aesthetic is very hip and modern. Everything we ordered was delicious however, there is quite a size difference in the main course options. The kafta is more like an expensive appetizer than a main course, seasoned well but it’s a thin ground meat patty that comes with a pita and some whipped feta. My partner thought it was a side dish. Versus the chicken plate that is huge, half a chicken with a full side of potatoes and mushrooms. The snap pea salad was my favorite item we ordered but was also quite small for the price. The service was wonderful, everyone working there that we talked to was very friendly and good at their jobs.
I love Tusk. Any time I have out of town guests visiting I take them there, and will continue to do so. I was excited that they started doing a sampler menu (you get a taste of all the starters/apps, one entree, and both desserts, at ~$55 per person). It is an experience and the food is amazing. That said I’ve done it twice, once with 2 people and once with 3, and we got the exact same amount of food both times - not per person but absolute volume of food. With 2 we had leftovers and with 3 we had none. I’d absolutely do it again but only with an even number of people.
As someone with a severe nut allergy, navigating a veggie-forward, vegan-friendly restaurant with nut liquor cocktails is always a risky game. The minute our server came to our table, my fears were quickly allayed. Rachel and the rest of the Tusk team went above and beyond to make sure I knew they were handling my issues seriously. Besides the incredible service, every single plate was absolutely delicious! The “try everything” option on the menu is an absolute steal and 100% worth it! 10/5 stars. Can’t wait to come back!
Hello one and all! Gather around, because this meal is a spectacle that you simple can’t miss! As two quirky besties (only one pictured) reunited for a dinner of a lifetime, this was everything we could have expected, but mostly things we didn’t. And we loved it, because we love to stay guessing. We were greeted cordially at the door, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and bright. Despite it being May, it felt just like late summertime. Who doesn’t love that?We ordered the Deluxe, which is everything on the menu; and MAN, was that a Trojan horse because it was *everything* on the menu. We especially loved the direction that the “whole at the table must participate,” and participate we DID!We ate until we were Tony-hawk-pro-skater SICK.And then the main course came!Absolutely everything was fantastic (we especially recommend the Berbere spiced Kafta and the Labneh). The service was also incredible! Our server, Mitch, took good care of us on this adventure. He was like a lighthouse in the storm. We can’t recommend him enough! Please go to this restaurant, we entreat you!! Thank you Tusk + staff for your endless positive qualities.
This place was incredible! Some of the best food I've ever had (the desert was just ok ?).The service was so incredible and kind and fast. The atmosphere and ambiance of the restaurant was also top notch.I will absolutely be returning!
I looked up unique restaurants and Tusk came up. They have great cocktails. There was even a beautiful non-alcoholic beet and ginger beer drink. We chose to order family style. We ordered the Mezze as a started. It was wonderful. Beets in a yogurt sauce, tabbouleh with quinoa. The Flatbread was steamy hot when it arrived. Nummy.
We went with the Deluxe Edition (everything on the menu + 1 entree + 2 desserts) and it is SO worth it. It's $55/person and it's SO much food. I loved being able to get a little bit of everything. The entree itself is $52 if you order separately, what an insane deal.Everything was delicious, employees are nice, and our server was fast and gave great recs for drinks. We will definitely be back.
The post Covid menu is super small and with some of the best (authentic) dishes removed (chicken skewers) and the star of the menu (the soft serve) gone. The Meizza platter, more like messy platter. The roast chicken is a hot mess and hard to share. Salads were good. Hummus was aight, there used to be a hummus platter that was ?. The cocktails are very much delish and the service is fantastic. Still love the branding (their own soap and candle, thank you maak lab) and the space is gorg. I heard some things went down with the owners and maybe that impacted the revamp, but it’s just not something to write home about now so going to retire tusk from my rotation.
Great place for a romantic meal. Amazingly tasty bites and nice wine list. Try the delicato squash if it is on the menu.
I struggle to find the words that can accurately describe the transcendent experience that is dining at Tusk. The food is out of this world delicious. Each dish I have is somehow mind-blowingly better and better than the last. The way they pair and pull out flavors makes every bite feel like heaven. The food alone makes the experience 5 stars, but the staff and atmosphere make it a truly wonderful experience. If you are lucky enough to be greeted by Abby, who is a literal beam of sunshine, you will know what I mean! It’s not only Abby, each staff member is so attentive and kind and makes you feel like superstar. My partner and I just went to celebrate our anniversary, and they really made it feel so special for us, I have never felt so cared for and seen during a dining experience before.Tusk is truly a very special establishment, don’t miss it!
