I spent $150 total. $138.45 for the food and a 15% service fee. For my small group. The bigger the group the smaller the service fee. 20% tipI would recommend this place for the sauce alone. It was 3 people for the (A) set1/2 lb shrimp1/2 lb clams1/2 mussels2 potatoes2 halves of a cornSeparate order- 1 lb snow crab-$451 Dungeness crab-$451 lb of shrimp-$14The sauce was a “BANGER” 8.9 I like my sauce a bit more lemonyThe Dungeness crab 6.8 meat was fair but not great.Snow crab 6.0 about the same as the Dungeness.Shrimp 7.5 I had a few that were not to tasty which tells me they might be old.Clams 1.0 the tiny meat goes great in a chowder but not in a boil.Mussels 7.8 nothing bad about just wish I had more.It was a good experience. It’s definite try. Only down side was pricing
I give this place three stars because I did not completely understand the concept of asian eating. I'm sure Asian people or Asian food lovers would appreciate this place more than me. We went there mostly because they served fresh crawfish from Louisiana, one of very few places in Portland. The Crawfish was great, we also ordered soups: lamb soup and seafood soup, and hopefully these things were authentic, because we could not really appreciate it with our European habits. I'm sure the food was fine, but you really need to diverge your mind from European style to be open for something new. It was not bad, it was just very different and unusual for us.
This is the best Cajun seafood boil in portland. Don’t come here for hot pot as it is overpriced. I rated it down as their seafood and sauce is not always consistent (freshness). This place is never too busy and serve fast.
Food is ok, not too bad. I wouldn't have taken the stars away if they at least provide good customer service. Staffs were rude, I must say. I think that they looked dowm on us since we didn't dress up. One of the staff, She threw silverware on the table and walk away. We added for lime, and she said "k" then again threw it on the table and walked away again. Very bad customer service
Love this place!!!!! Hands down best sauce in the U.S..Even my kidsssssssss love this place!!!! .... ima a seafood addict.... ive been everywhere.. and noone has flavors like rockin crab in portland
Everything was so good. Got seated fast. Ordered n got our food in 10 minutes. Food arrived supper got. 10
I ordered a green mussel boil with sausage, corn and potatoes. It arrived quickly and the seasoning profile was very chili powder oriented, no lemon, garlic or Cajun seasonings…it was just a heavy chili powder flavor. I like chili powder so I did find the meal tasty. Some of the mussels were a bit gritty which I don’t prefer but it happens. I would give this another shot, if I wasn’t able to find another seafood boil spot that uses lemon, garlic, old bay, etc. these are must haves!
The absolutely worst food I’ve had in Portland! Ridiculously expensive, don’t sell half pounds. One flavor with different spice levels. I ordered a pound of snow and a pound of king. I’m guessing the king crabs this year stop growing. The smallest king crab legs I ever seen. The flavor left a bad after taste in my mouth and had a sweet taste like they poured too much sugar or syrup in the bag. I ordered hot hot and it was not not! Too expensive to be so disgusting. This is a one and done! I will not return and I DO NOT RECOMMEND…
We love seafood boil. King crab legs weren't so kingly like I'd like them to be but still delicious. We haven't tried other seafood boil places in Oregon so we can't compare. Our experience was good.
It’s very good seasoned to perfection and the quantity is Lovely
