In Portland, it's easy to be dissuaded by a long line at brunch time and for the most part - I'm not about that life. For the Mont though, I make an exception. With an adorable back patio that comes alive in the summer, and a retro inspired dining room inside - this place is perfectly Portland.I'm not a traditional "breakfast food" person, which is why I love that they offer a burger option in the morning.... hello, arugula! They also let you enjoy a cocktail while you wait... which is perfect for getting to know that guy you met last night at the bar. It's technically one date if it didn't end, right?
The service was great, and very speedy! It was super busy but the person taking calls was very on top of my order, and was very kind. The food was super tasty! I will say the eggs were slightly undercooked but the bacon was delicious, the potatoes were seasoned great and the toast was pretty good too!! Overall i really enjoy this place, and ill most likely be coming back :)
The first time we went here, everything was stellar. Today, almost the exact opposite! My over easy eggs were closer to raw and cold and our first coffee's were brought with curdled milk (before our orders were taken). After a long wait (including to order...) the food came as mentioned and no inquiry as to whether we needed anything else and did not bring coffee refills. When she finally came to refill my husbands cup (I was having decaf), she just filled his and walked away, never to return with decaf for me. When we were done, we sat and waited a good 10 min before she asked if we wanted the check and oh yes, now...would you like more coffee (10 min. after I finished my meal; eggs only 1/2 eaten as I couldn't stomach any more). Though pleasant demeanor, this waitress had little to no service skill and such poorly undercooked simple eggs will keep us from choosing this place again (at least not any time soon!). Good luck!
My coffee and water were never empty, which I was super stoked about. The wait staff was really helpful. The breakfast burrito was... (Dramatic pause to relive the savory glory) Amazing. I highly recommend this place as a nice little breakfast spot.
Great presentation, food tastes great! My main complaint and reason for the 1 star is the treatment we received from a staff member. There is clearly a self serve water station, facing the tables complete with water cups next to it. I stood up to pour water and was scolded and berated about pouring water for over 1 minute at our table in front of everyone. She was rude, loud and embarrassed us and we asked for a check right away. I recommend training on customer service to her. Will never go back because of her rudeness and won't recommend. Way to go lady- what a vibe killer.
For a late Saturday brunch we got seated quickly. The staff was warm and seemed to be quite happy to be there. The food was tasty and the portions were good sized. Price is what we have come to expect around here. We will definitely return in the future.
Small place that is nice and quaint. The food is quite good. I am also a fan of the coffee.
Ya know, it was fine. $4 coffee? Food came out quick. I can't say it's bad. It just seemed... OK.
Very cool diner vibe but the food is very delicious and has it's own character. Coffee refills were fast and the service was top notch. Definitely get here on as early as possible as it can be a bit of a wait on the busier days.
Really friendly staff and a great outdoor seating area out back that is dog friendly.Had a chorizo breakfast burrito and it came with a pico de Gallo sauce that was perfect for it. A very wonderfully fresh high note of flavor to balance the deep note of the burrito itself.
