We walked in through the door on June 5th for dinner around 5 o'clock. We chose this place because it was close to our hotel and wanted a quick bite to eat. Husband and I were seated at a booth by the entrance and waited for over 10 minutes for someone to take our order. The booth was not cleaned and still had remnants of food from a previous customer. Admittedly we were both still jetlagged and tired from our lack of sleep that when our server finally appeared we didn't notice that the menus were QR codes. When she hyped up about the assortment of beers that the bar had on offer, she quickly gave us attitude when we told her we weren't interested and instead wanted to order sodas. We asked her to give us 5 minutes to look over the menu but to bring us our drinks, she left and we never saw her again. Totally ghosted us. We saw other servers happily serving other customers and their families. Even those who walked in after us got service and glasses of water. We even saw our server serving others but she never came back to us. My husband and I gave her another 10 minutes after she left us and we walked out. Truthfully we gave her and this pub 20 minutes too much of our lives. We were never offered waters by this server. Nothing! Terrible place with a lousy waitress.

Me and my wife went to this restaurant last night hoping to get a quick bite. Got seated right away and took our drink order and got that to us in a fairly quick fashion. Then the waiter ignored us for 15 minutes and didn’t check back with us our take our food order. He walked past us three times and blatantly ignored us. This restaurant lives up to it’s name about being independent. They truly abandon you and leave you on your own. We left after that and wouldn’t recommend going here.

The Independent is across the street from The Benson. It was a perfect place to walk over for lunch. My hubby enjoyed his burger and fries. I ordered the cajun breaded fish and chips - breading was way too thick with no flavor (maybe suggest seasoned panko option). It was clean, safe area, and played music loud enough to not hear the neighbors. The server needs to keep an eye on refills (ignored).

Ran in for a quick bite while walking around and was happy I did. Their tacos were pretty amazing. The server offered some awesome suggestions and was very attentive and accommodating. Will definitely stop in again once I’ve settled into my new digs.

Great place to watch a game. Friendly staff. Need a more diverse beer selection. A ton of IPA.

This is a great place to watch sports, eat and drink. Environment is open, clean, and fairly modern with lots of TV's situated around the restaurant and bar so you can watch multiple games from most locations. Drinks, food, and service were very good.

Understaffed and rude service. Food was solid but staff made us feel like they would rather us leave. Our table and the one next to us could not get them to put on the SEC championship on one of the 20+ tvs there because they said the tv was occupied when it clearly wasnt. Worst service I've had in a long time. Don't go here

Great bar! Friendly staff.

Showing every game because they have a million screens? ✅ Big, clean, open, doesn't smell like smoke? ✅ Great food? ✅ Including breakfast for those early games!? ✅ This is the place to go for all your sporting events. Great food, nice staff, reasonably priced, and showing every game. What more could you want?

So far the service leave A LOT to be desired mostly due to a lack in training... The food however was not what I expected... Mushroom swiss... One would expect the onions to be sauteed... That's a no. So all NOT their best... At all. At least the drink was free poured... For all the good that did.
