The last bastion of non-corporate, down-to-earth, non-snooty, non-pretentious, non-Portlandia-wannabe-hipster, straight-dope entrepreneurial neighborhood coffee shops on the westside of Portland.
the coffee isn’t great but the benches outside are a great place to relax and kiss my special lady friend
The barista was not wearing a mask, and there’s no indication this guy is vaccinated. I prefer the person breathing over my food and drink to wear a mask. Lost my business.
Awesome family owned shop! Fantastic atmosphere, excellent coffee, amazing food options. Great for weekend brunching too!
Ordered two vanilla lattes and they were both terribly bitter, and tasted like they forgot the vanilla. That, or they needed new coffee. Wouldn’t say not to go, just maybe check your drink before you go.
A great small business for exceptional breakfast and coffee. My personal favorite is the Kitchen Sink along with rocket fuel coffee.
My son dropped his drink in the parking lot, and within minutes, the owner rushed out with a replacement drink without being asked. Amazing service and very tasty beverages.
Great brewed coffee and breakfast options. The burrito was delicious as well as their avacado toast
Best avocado toast! But really put me off when I heard the owner boasting to customers about how he hates masks and won’t make his employees wear them. As someone with people near me who are compromised I can’t come here anymore unfortunately :( and there is a mask mandate currently - so there is no excuse.
I run my business from a corner of my cramped apartment, and The Coffee Shop is my go-to place for in-person meetings with clients. The coffee and treats are always on point and OMG you have to try their cinnamon rolls! They're light, they have incredible flavor, and heck - I'd chomp on a pine cone if it was slathered with that frosting. I know you'll taste the same magical je ne sais quoi when you get one. (Pro tip: get 2)
