This spot is an institution & it shows! Everything is delicious & worth the wait.
Service was awesome and the sandwiches were pretty good to great. I wish they had another bread option or two, as I'm not a fan of the chewy bread, which made it difficult to bite through. Just a personal preference. The ingredients were ample, fresh, and tasty, and they got our special requests nailed.? ? Would be 5 stars if not for the bread, which some folks may like.
One of the main reasons I continually purchase food here is because the owners of the restaurant actually take orders and make food themselves. I believe I have met their son and he is a fine young man with unlimited possibilities in his future. Not too many owners of business, let alone restaurants will man the till and grill. Nothing but love and respect for this business and family. I hope they stay in the neighborhood indefinitely. Thank you so much for being here ?
Certified DELICIOUS. We tried the Chicken Teriyaki sub and the Famous Tickler, highly recommend. Bread is soft and fresh and the subs are loaded with fixins’… would drive across town for a Tickler sando.
I hold a very high standard when it comes to a good sub sandwich.Taste Tickler has met my high standard and set a new level of what a quality sub sandwich is. Excellent work here.
Tickled my taste buds for sure! Got the Pepper Steak Philly. ‘‘Twas delicious. Only disappointment was I expected a black pepper sauce and there was none. Had zero taste of pepper but was still really tasty.
One of the best establishments in portland by far. Unbelievable owners, who have looked out for their customers for literally decades. I can’t say enough about how great taste tickler is
Love this place. Sandwiches are top notch, the people are kind and service is fast, however, last time we were there we got a veggie sandwich to-go and when we got home we realized several of the toppings were wrong. We don’t eat cheese and had asked for the veggie sandwich without cream cheese, and there was definitely cream cheese on it, which meant a tummy ache for the next 24 hours. It was also missing the Dijon and banana peppers we requested. I would have emailed privately but couldn’t find an email address… looking forward to how we can make this right.
Still Tasty After All These Years
This place is my favorite spot in Portland to get a sandwich. Their bread is what steals the show, but they also make the sandwiches just right with the right quantity of ingredients. Also the bulgogi sandwich is amazing if you want something a little different. Really sweet and lovely staff.
