The food was delicious and the outdoor patio was really great. I asked for my drunken noodles to be spicy and they were spicy but also still flavorful. The papaya salad had some heat as well. It was all really tasty.
Tara Thai is not new but this is definitely a place that ages well. Spacious and welcoming place. The timeless menu features marvels such as thai soups, noodles, stir fries, curries, etc. Try the green curry, seriously, with chicken, medium spice and plain jasmine rice, it's packed with flavors from eggplants, bamboo shoots, bell pepper, basil, etc. My favorite of all times. Portions are generous: I usually order curry for pickup and for $12.95 I get enough to feed one hungry teenager (or two adults)
Delicious food and the most friendly staff! Loved the outdoor area with the lovely heaters too. The only reason it’s 4/5 stars is because the service was so quick it almost felt like we were being rushed out even though we were the only ones in there (it was 5pm im sure they get busy later on)

Tara Thai is one of the best thai food places in Portland. I have going there for over 20 years and it has always been great. Good food and super friendly staff.

Really good food and the atmosphere out on the patio was perfect.Shared some appetizers, Pad Thai, and had the amazing mango with sticky rice dessert.Make time for this place!
