Nice find for us, although I'm sure the locals know all about this place. They are known for their noodles so of course I had to try it. Was not disappointed! Ordered the Dan-Dan Mein Szechaun Sauce Noodles and absolutely loved the noodles. The sauce was ok (first time having it), wish it was a bit thicker. Can't wait to go back and try another dish!
Noodle texture is good, not too soft or mushy. Broth is rich. Fried chicken wings are unique in taste in a good way.
I've had several dishes here and I loved each of them; from the pork BAO,to the tofu shrimp balls over rice and like Mongolian beef and the crispy fried rice with like crunchy.tyoe.cruats on the little.rices.like tampera or something that Jasmine or white rice.with the sweet and sour.chicken I believe it was yummy yumm! Oh!- the wonton soup, primo!!- u just can't gomwromg.with the Chinese WONTON SOUP...MMMHMMMM YUMMERZ YUMMY IN MY TUMMY !!- INLIKE TAIPEI REATURANT BECUZ ITS CLOSE TO OUR HOUSE AMD DECENT ORICES FOR THE PORTIONS NAND THE GREAT QUALITY OF TASTY TASTY.FOODIES.! GREAT SERVICE THE STAGG ALWAYS NICE AND EVEN WHEN I ONLY COME TO PLAY THE LOTTERY WITH MY FRIENDS..THEY ALWAYS GREET US AND SEE IF WE NEED ANYTHING WHILE WE ARE PLAYIMG THE MACHINenand it's clean throughout the entire restaurant and it's not to hot inside there btw fus most small restaurants thelatnfry their food list of it or steam it like this one,they tend to be too hot inside most of the time so I'll get orders to go but,NO!- NOT HERE,GREAT RESTAURANT THRU AND THRU NO LIE I'VE GOTTA ATOP HY AJD HAVE A BITE!- even though I really love and prefer my husband's culture and style of food for asian choice of food dish,which is Vietnamese, this place is almost in my favorite top five pics for Portland's Asian cuisine! :-)
Hot and ready for take out!!! Meals are great take on there culture… go dine in or get take out and play VP while you wait…
First off this place looks run down and outdated BUT the food that they make is delicious!! You should dine in because when you order take out you're losing a lot of the flavor and textures of the dishes. The time it takes to be picked up and then taken to your home will take away from the quality. They brought our crispy sweet and sour pork out and it was the tastiest and crunchiest sweet and sour pork I've ever had, it was like eating french fries because I could not stop eating it, it also stayed piping hot while we ate our other dishes. The black bean noodle texture was great! The sauce is mild. This restaurant offers you water or a complimentary hot tea. We took dan dan noodles to-go and that was also very good, they give you a lot of minced pork and the portions are huge, trust me they don't skimp on their ingredients! Our total with a pepsi was only 32 dollars for 3 huge and delicious dishes (going to enjoy the leftovers later tonight). I also can see why some people say the lady here is rude, it's a bit of a culture difference I'd say, but to me she was not rude at all!
This is the best Chinese food I’ve ever had in Portland! The sesame chicken was crispy and delicious and the pieces of chicken were pretty big. Decent price too, I could only eat half of the big portion. I will definitely be coming back for more.
Superb food, serving size and prices. That Taiwanese sweet and sour pork was amazing. They've got one of the better online sites for ordering pickup too. Even though they look closed, don't be fooled by appearances! Support this local business.
My friend and I walked in and sat at the bar to order a quick drink. I assume the person in the restaurant was a waitress was on her phone mopping, yes… mopping the carpet while on her cell phone. We sat for a few minutes, the waitress clearly saw us and proceeded to talk on her phone.I did make a few remarks hoping she would acknowledge our presence but nothing. This happened to us once before but figured I’d give it another shot…. Very disappointed as there was no one else there that they were servicing.Close and let a new restaurant take over that will bring revenue and a positive community experience to the people in our neighborhood.0 stars if I could
