This review is for their catering service. Our order was accepted several days in advance, and we were notified that morning that it would be ready at the scheduled time. 30 minutes before I go to pick up the order, they cancelled it, leaving me to scramble to feed 15 people. When called they offered no explanation. I’ve ordered from them several times for office lunches and it’s always been a great experience in the past. Unfortunately we won’t be using them again.Edit: Thanks for responding (updated to 3 stars), ez-cater let me know that the order was cancelled on your end with the reason given as "lack of product."
Attractive modern-industrial bakery / Cafe, with beautiful looking baked goods and cupcakes. I sampled 3 different types of cupcakes and was underwhelmed by each.The generous buttercream toppings adorning each cupcake (Strawberry, Chocolate, and ?) were bland, and the cakes dry and flavorless. No better than MOC or Safeway, just less sugary sweet.
If you are in Portland and looking for an incredible bakery, look no further! My husband and I worked with Shelby at Sugar Bistro for our gender reveal and it was a 10/10 experience. Excellent customer service, Shelby went above and beyond to help us. We ordered 2 cupcakes and she gifted us an additional 2. Cookies and cupcakes were amazing! Some of the best buttercream I’ve had, can’t recommend enough!
Tuna sandwich was one of the best I've had in awhile! Delicious and fresh with uncomplicated ingredients (sometimes you just want a tuna salad sandwich to be tuna salad- and not have craisins or apples or a bunch of raw onion mixed in.) This one was simple and perfect.
Visited this coffee shop while in Portland. I had a cup of London Fog and a few pastries. Staff were excellent and menu items were priced generously.
I've seen a number of business go in and out of this very location. I hope Sugar Street Bakery & Bistro is here to stay! It is in such a prime location in the SW across from the park which makes it perfect for breakfast or lunch outside.I was warmly greeted upon walking in and faced with a tough decision as there were so many great food options to choose from.For the Bistro side they've got everything from breakfast to bowls, salads, sandwiches, paninis, truly something for everyone. With the Bakery in mind they've got some of the most delicious looking and tasting cupcakes, muffins, cookies and scones - vegan options too!!I ended up going with the Turkey Pesto Panini which comes with a side salad and chips. For the sweet treat I chose the "Powell" cupcake. Everything was fresh and tasty. Portions were generous. Great value for what you pay. I look forward to my next visit to try more good eats.Happy to see a new local business in SW!!
The balsamic vinaigrette here is by far the best. The salad is fresh and delicate yet crunchy. The coffee is served at a great semi hot temperature and the prices here are fair. Considering the location you get more than what you pay for
Every time I am here, it reboots my mind. The ambiance of this place is relaxed and fun, and the food is amazing on all accounts. Shelby M. the manager is so kind and knows exactly how to answer all my questions. The music here is SPOT ON to the atmosphere they want to create. Kennedy was kind and helpful, and patient with me, as I didn't know what I wanted when I first walked in. This whole team deserves a shout out! 11/10 recommend for daytime relaxed bites, solo or with others.
The staff was friendly and professional, the store was clean, bright and open, and the food was delicious with great proportions to price. Ordering ahead of time was not a problem. Enough parking to get and go. Sugar Street, keep doing what you're doing, it's great.
Cupcake was amazing! I love that they are named after the streets! So Portland.
