The food of this place is amazing and they serve really big portions so you have to bring backup to help you eat all this food. I like this food the most in Portland. The noodles were hand stretched and the sauce had perfect flavor.
I ordered the La Mian and found it was visually appealing and tasty. Surprisingly, I found it slightly lacking in depth of flavor/spices. I got medium spice but I could barely taste spice — that might be a me problem, though, so I’ll try spicy next time I go and update my review accordingly! The service was faster than expected — they are efficient with taking orders which is nice. The prices are reasonable for the big portion size. It was a bit difficult to carry the soup somewhere to eat as the container leaks a little.
Disappointed with the texture and flavor. Same flavor for different noodles. Instead of focusing on the fresh stretch, should focus of improving the flavor. Fill the stomach but doesn’t satisfy the taste bud.
I have been wanting to try Stretch The Noodle for years now and finally stopped in when they didn’t have a crazy line. The La Mian is absolutely incredible. The broth is delicious, the noodles have a really nice consistency and are fresh, and the big chunks of beef and vegetables are perfect. This might be the best meal I’ve had at any cart in downtown and is definitely one of the best in Portland.
This food cart is amazing. I would go here weekly if I could. We had the la mian and biang biang noodles. The la mian soup was delicious. Make sure to ask for vinegar to add to your soupy noodles. You'll be happy to add it for the added layer of flavors. The biang biang noodles were also good. There's only an option of medium or spicy. The medium was pretty spicy. I'd recommend getting medium if unless you are a spice master and no spiciness can phase you. Also, the nopdles come in a huge portion. We recommend eating them there if possible. Theyre not good when reheated. The soup has options of mild, medium, and spicy. The mild and medium was not as spicy as the medium for the biang biang noods.Seating is limited. They have a little bar area that you can stand and eat at if you really want to eat while you're there.
The soup with dumplings was AMAZING! The noodles are springy and chewy, the veggies are fresh, the dumplings are wonderfully savoury, and the soup is so comforting on a cold day. I got it spicy and loved it, it’s perfect for someone like me who loves lip tingling spice. It’s definitely not for the spice novice though, so make sure you can handle a strong chili oil before you have this made spicy. The dish is 12$, and you get a hefty portion; you will not be hungry after finishing it! It’s the kind of food that makes you take a happy nap afterwords. The owners were so kind and you can tell they put love into this food. Can’t wait to be back, Portland is so lucky to have Stretch the Noodle!
Delicious! Got BB and DD noodles and the special which was pork dumplings. Pork dumplings came with amazing chili sauce. The BB noodle sauce was also amazing. My tongue is tingling in the best way.
This is my favorite food cart downtown Portland. The food is wonderful but the hours are very limited. They are only open weekdays I believe, until 3pm. There can be a bit if a wait when they are busy, so be prepared if you are on a limited time for lunch. It is always a great scene to see the lady hand stretch and cook the noodles.

My favorite food truck in Portland!Only order hot if you can handle really spicy foods.Portions are HUGE and prices are great. A $13 dish easily feeds me for 2-3 meals. If you see a line or many people waiting, prepare for a bit of a wait, but it is definitely worth it for such delicious noodles.
