Great food and service
Very disappointing dinner. All of our meals way below standard. And at over $40 per entrée we would expect a lot more. The halibut was overdone and extremely bland. The chicken was dried out and tough.

Made res St. Jack among fanfare from EatPDX and was not disappointed. French fare, so if you donât like the genre may not be for you, but if you do, boy are you in luck. Small venue perfect for an intimate get together but also had lots of singles seating. Bar or restaurant vibe depending on which side you sit. We were there for girls night and would go back 100%.
Our server shamed us a little for not ordering apps. We made it fun anyway.

I would give the food 4 stars and the service ~2 stars. Everything we ordered was very good. As a transplant from a very foodie city, I would say that, while the food was very good, it's overpriced for what it actually is. As far the service goes, if you want complete apathy, this is the place for you. We had called ahead to say we were coming in for a really big celebration and anything special they could do would be greatly appreciated (and obv we would tip extra). When we walked in, the hostess said, "I see you're celebrating tonight." Then, she escorted us through the dining room to a table in the bar next to a family with a crying toddler. I would probably come here again to grab a quick bite after work because the food was tasty, but not to actually bring people for a special dinner. It was a disappointment and I wish I had picked someplace else for our celebration.
Superb service and cuisine. West coast fresh meets French refinement.
