First time and def not the last! Friendly and courteous service with amazing sandwiches and yummy coffee. The barbarian was superb and the Wicked ( which has the best vegan sausage!) delighted our tastebuds. Usually never post on the first visit but for this place I’ll make the exception.Also, owner was sweet to give our pup water, ty!
This place is great, a hidden gem. The guy who owns it (who is super nice and always a pleasure to visit with) makes homemade bagels on the bbq and cures his own meats for the place, and the food (and coffee!) is delicious. It's so tiny and so unassuming that I frankly don't know how he is making it, but I am really pleased to see that Spunky Monkey is developing a following. Stop here for a bagel sandwich, it's something special, trust me! It's so unique and cool that my husband and I try to get coffee from here exclusively when we can.
What a hidden gem! We just had our first Spunky Monkey experience, and we'll definitely be back! The bagel sandwiches are perfect - great flavors, soft bagel, ratio of toppings to bagel. The house made vegan sausage is delicious, the coffee is great, and the owner is delightful. 10/5 stars ?
Got two 3 cheese basic bagel sandwiches, a honey-vanilla latte and a lavender-vanilla latte. The lattes were absolutely delightful and the bagels were super cheesy and delicious. The owner Gray is a lovely person and I almost wish we had a longer wait for our order because my wife and I had a great time chatting with him. All in all, Spunky Monkey is my new go-to coffee and sandwich stop. 10/10 recommend!!!
I stopped here for the first time the other day (although I feel like I may have visited another location years ago). The coffee and food (especially the bagel) were both great, the person who made them was very nice, and I really liked the place itself. It reminded me a lot of the time that I lived in Portland in a way that I don't see much at all anymore (early 2000s). Again, good food coffee and people, looking forward to stopping in again on my next trip through town.
I’mI just moved to Oregon in August and I have to say, this is one of the best cups of coffee I’ve had here. Robust and flavorful and not bitter at all. I’ll definitely be back!
This was one of the best breakfast sandwiches Ive had in a long time. Just packed with interesting flavor. Coffee was excellent as well.
Great Americano! I can really taste the difference. So much better than starbucks or a big chain. Also cheaper. The bagels are awesome as well. Will definitely be coming back!

Grey at Spunky Monkey was fantastic. Super helpful, funny and kind. His food and coffee were somehow even more amazing. 15/10 will go again!
