Wholesale dept is not very friendly. Brushed me off to a store location in which that store told me I needed to call wholesale and talk to them. Called wholesale back and spoke with the same person (who signed in annoyance I called back) who told me that they don't really have the time to deal with my request and I can just go into one of the stores and hope they have the amount to bagels I was trying to request leftover at the end of the day. Called the store location back (Multnomah Village) and they seemed to have no idea how to handle the request I was trying to make. Thanks Jordan for the excellent customer service, definitely will never spend money here or recommend this place to anyone.
Walked in and even though I was the only one inside and I had to wait around for the slender girl working to even acknowledge me. When I told here I was there for 2 $10 value bags for a Too Good to Go order she pointed to the day-old bagels and curtly told me to take two bags and a cream cheese. I confirmed that this was for two bags worth, as the advertised value didn’t add up, and she stared at me like I was such a hassle and slowly repeated herself in a manner like I was an idiot. Another customer entered the store and asked about his order and she snapped at him, so I decided to just take my two bags, one tub, and go. I would not recommend purchasing a deal with this Spielman’s through Too Good to Go, as I only received a $15 value (2x$5 day old bagels, 1x$5 cream cheese) instead of the $20 advertised. The experience of receiving lesser value products could have been okay if the girl working hadn’t been so unpleasant. Most bagels are fine even if they are a day old, but neither these nor the cream cheese were anything special. It is honestly not worth getting treated poorly to return and try again.
Came in 1/8/2022 around 10:45am ordered 2 bagels one with salmon shmear with lox (super fresh) and a bacon jam let me tell you whoever’s back there whipping up these sandwiches knows what there doing kudos to them!
The bagels are always really good here and we love buying a bag of day old bagels for a great price. The staff is usually pretty attentive but there are times when you encounter the thin brunette with the bad attitude who seems forlorn and annoyed with all the customers. Either way I hope she is in better spirits again someday and able to get off her cell phone long enough to greet her customers. Ps. please check the coffee milk- we were given 2 orders that were very sour and couldn’t drink it- total waste.
The bagel I had was good and friendly service. The coffee I was served was gross. I would come back for the bagels but stay clear of the coffee.
Waited 15 min with 1 2 person party ahead of me to order , then they were out of butter for the bagels , ordered 2 small drinks , waited another 20 min for those . Incredibly slow and l watched the guy at the counter put on gloves, then touch his face and hair and proceed to grab bagels for customers w/o changing them. Gross .
Good bagels. But the wait time and inconsistencies are pretty poor. And on multiple occasions we've been treated very poorly and I really don't know why. Can't fully blame them though, this pandemic has made the industry far more difficult than it should be for what people are getting paid.
The coffee reminded me of what I used to get at a truck stop in Indiana 30 years ago. I much prefer McDonald's coffee. My bagel sandwich was good -- the bagel was crispy on the outside and chewy in the middle, and the meat tasted fresh. My wife didn't like her Dead-eyed Hipster sandwich, though. The bagel was toasted too much for her taste, and she felt there was too much balsamic vinegar.
Oh so tasty! The coffee is delicious!
Great food and coffee! Loved “The Bacon Jam” with salmon spread!!
