I don't get it. People love it. It was fine, but we didn't order a funky pizza by the slice, so we ordered a whole pizza. Since it's not really a restaurant, there are only a few places to sit down and eat it outside. Kinda lame. I guess we could have eaten at the bar next door, and that's what we should have done. If I'm back in Portland, I'm skipping this place.
Quite literally, the worst online ordering and phone ordering system I have ever seen. They tell you, when you call, they don't deliver from the main store location, yet when you order from any 3rd party app, the store you just called about delivery is now making your order to be delivered. They also tell you to write notes if anything needs to be changed on the 3rd party app, of which when you click the special instructions tab, says no special instructions can be added because they've asked to not receive them. Then when you finally order and give the call back of which they have told you to do to verify the special instructions that couldn't be given to them through the 3rd party apps, somehow you become the one that doesn't understand. This place is a Joke. When you go to get a slice, you can't even add toppings. Go ahead tell me how most places don't do that. You will not win this one. You sit in the cold outside because these people can't clean the inside up enough for you to be able to sit inside. If you want good Vegan pizza, Go to Rudy's Pizza.
It should be noted that this location isn't open for dine-in. Which we didn't know, as tourists, when we traveled in the rain with our two kids to get here. There are a few tables outside on a covered patio which were full. There is a bar that's open to serve the pizza which kids aren't allowed inside of. This was a bit frustrating bc we had no idea it was only the bar that was.oown for dine-in. I had Googled the location and didn't see any mention of this. It was also recommended to us by our hotel. Nevertheless, we ordered a to-go pizza (which was delicious) and took it back to our hotel. For this location, if you have kids, just order for delivery.
The pizza was very good. The problem we had with Sizzle is that there was no indoor seating, only a patio outside, and it was raining and FREEZING. We were surprised that they didn't have any heat lamps. It's hard to enjoy your food when you're shivering! I was also shocked when the cashier asked if we wanted to add a tip to our payment. What on earth for? We placed our order, but nobody brought the food to our table; they just called out our name and we had to go back and get it ourselves. It seemed rude to us to ask for tips when they were doing the bare minimum.
Picking up Sizzle Pie pepperoni pizza by the slice has become a bit of a tradition for my daughter and me. She has to have that greasy, perfectly toasted deliciousness every time she comes to visit. Sizzle Pie has never disappointed us.
It's the NY slice you crave- perfectly salty, crispy crust. Loved it!
Don’t even bother putting in a desired time for pick up on their website because it doesn’t matter. That is if you can even park to pick up your order. Placed a large order 3 days in advance and left a generous tip. When I arrived to pick up my order a little after the scheduled time the guy at the window was like “we haven’t even started it.”No apology or concern whatsoever. 30 minutes later I had my order, still no apology and one pizza was cut into 5 massive slices! Never again.
Ohhohoya this pizza is greasy and good. Thin crust. NY style. Good amount of toppings. Large slices. Around $4 per slice.
Lovely sizzling hot pizza!!
Ordered a pizza and salad from this hipster wannabe Pizza bar. it took over an hour and a half to be delivered 10 blocks and then the driver just left it on the porch without ringing the doorbell or knocking. So it was bone cold and inedible when we finally found it at the 2-hour mark. Worst pizza and worst service in Portland.
