I orederd chicken tikka masala but come on … is this three small pieces of chicken and this small amount of rice really worth 17$ ?I don’t know what else to say but this is really disappointing:(
I would have given zero but since am being nice let me just give 1 star. The workers at the counter seems very nice with Caucasian customers and very suspicious with African Americans. If you are uncomfortable with African Americans why do business in a Black (gentrified) community. I guess you are just there for the money. I am not going to throw out the racist card but lets just say be careful eating here if you are of African descent.
Really good food... I'm from Brooklyn and this restaurant reminds me of food in NYC. Absolutely delicious and nice sized portions. Also Mr. Michael made it an enjoyable experience. Will come here again ??
Vegetarian Food Review: I ordered Shahi Paneer, Garlic Naan and Raita. Really enjoyed the food. I ordered medium spicy but if you don’t enjoy spice then make sure you say mild. Flavors were very different from mainstream and the service was very good. I look forward to trying more things. I wish there was 4.5 for rating. So try and let me know what you thought about it. Thank You Simi for taking care and serving me the lovely food. Not much to say about dine in experience in regards to ambience.
Just ordered veggie samosas and the dal soup and both were fantastic! Absolutely delicious and tons of flavor. I have ordered the saag paneer in the past and that too is tasty. I am happy to have this spot in my neighborhood....especially with winter right around the corner.
Best Indian food I've found in North Portland. Love the tika masala and baingan bartha(probably botching these). Highly recommend this place for comfort Indian food. Atmosphere for dinning in is a little lacking but that's because of the location and the takeout centered business. Recommend takeout if you go here.
My husband and I love this place! We came to Portland a month ago and have been here 3 times now. The food is delicious, and the owner (I believe) is super friendly. I usually like tikka, but we got the afghani chicken and I like that even more. I’m also extremely happy that they serve these with chicken breast. I’m super picky with meat, and only eat breast ?.. I know weird. Overall love! The naan and tandoori roti are good (we’ve have both butter and garlic naan).
Everything was great and tasty. Would visit again.I want to appreciate the owner and his hard-work here. Although it was a one man show (he took our orders, cooked it and served), he did it in timely manner and was very efficient. Really a nice place.
No complaints! Ordered takeout. Food was ready, warm and good to go once I arrived. No hassle, no fuss. Quick pick up, which was great. Ordered butter chicken and garlic naan.
It was my first time trying Indian food so I was super excited! I’m super happy to say that this place was so GOOD. We ordered spicy vindaloo with prawns and it did not disappoint. We ordered spicy butter chicken and although it was not spicy, it was phenomenal. Garlic and chili nan were amazing as well. We had the cucumber raita with our food and it was so refreshing and tasty. The garlic wings were also amazing. Chicken biryani was delish as well. Great flavors, great presentation (we ordered to go) and guy at the front was super friendly! So glad we got to try this place before leaving Portland.
