Absolutely delicious sandwiches! The menu is small but that’s okay when everything is good. We shared their staple sandwich and the rotating focaccia (which was a tuna fish salad). The bread was moist and tasty on both. The fillings on both were little mouth explosions. We got dessert as well & they simply didn’t measure up to the sandwiches. There’s also nowhere to sit, so just know that ahead of time. Well worth a visit overall. Would definitely recommend.
They are a window that delivers sandwich magic. Also, chocolate tortas.The rotating focaccia sandwich is like a siren call, but the rocks are like... really nice outdoor seating on a great neighborhood street. Not all metaphors work, okay? Anyway, the paprika chips are ridiculously tasty too.Seeing other local business owners drop by for the local scoop and the latest cookie was a delightful bonus.
My mom and I were running some errands and happened to park around the corner from them, decided to stop by and see what was what on our way back to the car. We got the muffuletta sandwich (meat, not eggplant), evoo chocolate chip cookie and a slice of olive oil cake. They were all phenomenal. I really like the fact neither the cookie nor cake were overly sweet. It’s such a cute little place, the guys working there were so nice. I’m really glad we happened across them.
Being from the Northeast, I’m constantly on the hunt for good Italian spots in the PNW and Sebastiano’s is definitely on my list of favorites. The food I ordered was delicious (a sandwich and a cannoli which they pipe to order). It’s such a cute little spot and it’s always nice being able to support local family-owned businesses. I plan to go back soon. The focaccia bread is calling my name.
Absolutely incredible every single time. My Sicilian-heritage husband and his cousin marvel at every dish, their eyes lighting up as they whisper to each other, “it tastes JUST like Grandma’s…” and then whispering much more quietly, “it’s better than Grandma’s…”Don’t sleep on Sebastiano’s. They’ll always make you happy.P.S. New Season’s sells their vegan chocolate chip olive oil cookies in their cookie bar for when you are fully addicted and need to be able to buy these cookies every day of the week…Sorry not sorry for telling you.
Fantastic Italian deli! Everything is thoughtful and delicious. Their muffuletta is hands down my favorite sandwich in town! The deli is owned by a super nice couple who are very community oriented. You can even get their olive-stuffed focaccia bread and olive oil cake (among other things) at their booth at the Montavilla farmers market on Sundays.
I really, really want to support and love them, especially as a fellow Sicilian-American. I love their story and that they are bringing some Sicilian flavors to Portland. The service is friendly and the muffuletta is good - the bread is amazing!However, I've noticed their sweets tend to be burnt. The shells of our cannoli were pretty dark, at first I thought maybe they put cocoa in them, but they were just burnt. I was hoping we just got an off batch, but from social media posting this seems to be the norm, which is unfortunate because the filling was super tasty and the consistecy was great! This summer I'd often get their cookies from Cooperativa in the pearl, and always loved them. Yesterday I went there to get some packs of the chewy almond and orange cookies on our way out of town, as stocking suffers. I ended up having to pass, because all the packs they had were burnt on the back half of the cookies. Hopefully their quality control will improve soon, and I can start buying them again because they were delicious!
A true Portland gem! The muffaletta is great. Meatball sub is also stellar. Sweets are excellent as well.The owners are great and happy to talk about their food and offer suggestions.
Ate lunch here for the first time today. Omggg. So happy this is so close to my house! Really laid back, friendly, fast service. The little desserts are perfection. Thank you for existing.
Ordered ahead online and service was amazing. Pumpkin creme zeppole, EVOO cake and torta di mandorle were all incredible. Thank you for the amazing treats. Can’t wait to go back to try the muffulettas
