The fried chicken is on point. As a southerner, this fried chicken is delicious and so much better than other local chicken places I've tried. While Screen Door might be *known* for the chicken and waffles, you can't go wrong with any chicken from here. Chicken tenders, chicken sandwich, chicken and waffles, all good options. They also have a variety of sauces to choose from, which were all really good. Highly recommend if you're looking to fill that fried chicken craving.

Went there with wife on a Thursday night. Have heard good things about this place before so we really wanted to try it out ourselves.Even though it was a Thursday night, the place filled up pretty quickly during dinner time. We ordered a plate of fried chicken tenders, a bowl of Mac and cheese, roasted cauliflowers and roasted carrots and squash. They were all very delicious! The chicken tenders were definitely the highlight: juicy inside and crispy outside.Roasted veggies were also well done. The roasted nuts complimented the veggies so well. The Mac and cheese was also top notch. It would be the ultimate “apre ski” snack ?

Biscuits and gravy, shrimp and cheesy grits and the pork shoulder Benedict. Great service and the food was delicious! Loved the gravy and the breakfast potatoes with a side of buttermilk ranch. Amazing restaurant so be prepared for a bit of a wait before you get a table. Worth the wait! Dinner menu looked delicious too.

Great service From everyone. We loved our server Jared; when we return to town we will be requesting him. My husband is from the south and had the best grits. All of our food was great. I'm happy to have made reservations (strongly recommended).

The staff was great the food was amazing ?? ? Our favorites were the chicken and waffles, Banana fosters French toast, biscuits and gravy , the fresh fruits, and the cinnamon roll. Our daughter is a picky eater but she cleaned her plate!! We all did. ??

Like its other location - great service and food. Generous portions for the price. Bonus - the food was delicious. At this writing you need to show your vax card to sit indoors. Outdoor covered seating with heat lamps if you forget your card or are un-vaxed.

Every single thing we had was phenomenal. From the cocktails, to the appetizers, to the huge dinner spread, and the dessert. The portions are very large and filling but we still couldn’t help ourselves and ordered a little bit of everything. The fried chicken is perfect. Also highly recommend trying the mac n cheese, red beans and rice, and finish it all off with the banoffee pie. The wait staff was all also so attentive and great even with a packed full house!

This is where The South meets the PNW! Classic dishes in an even classier establishment, this menu is packed with flavor. You really can’t go wrong from the fried okra, beet salad, chicken with honey mustard, Mac and cheese (a must!), etc! My eyes were bigger than my stomach but we absolutely had to try everything. Waiter was very pleasant and knowledgeable as well!

Screen Door Pearl District is amazing... Everyone works with tremendous pride. This was my third experience at this location and it could not have been better. I was greeted promptly and offered indoor or patio seating. Indoor dining currently requires a quick vaccine verification - nice touch. My server Samantha was quick with greeting me and getting me a glass of water. Shortly there after an additional beverage was delivered and order was taken. The picture does justice but is even more impressive in person. Knowing what was coming I skipped dinner the night before. You won't leave hungry unless you want to. Great environment - Great staff - Amazing food. If your downtown Portland make sure to check Screen Door out you won't be sorry. Thanks

Tried the new Pearl location this time. Screen Door has always been a favorite when I want comfort food from my childhood. Th greens always spot on. Tried the jambalaya and it was a tad dry but packed with flavor and the right amount of spice. Right in the middle of those who love the spice and those who don't. Definitely a different ambiance with its bright interior. Not bad, just different. The food was definitely the same and not waiting in a long line was a huge plus.
