We got the pot stickers, fried rice, and pad see ew, which are our Thai restaurant favorites. The portions were good, but there was not as much flavor as we would’ve liked. We did get “no spicy” so perhaps the lack of flavor is due to that. There is a mild option, so would try it again with that and see.

After pandemic, my first visit ordered beef Pad Thai noodles. Same taste and yummy but pricy from $10 to $14.

Great little outdoor spot to grab some good food from. I’m all about the spicy fried rice.

These guys have been around for a long time for a reason. Straight from Thailand and they know what they are doing. Also the are accommodating for different requests.

The restaurant is currently operating out of their food truck off to the side of the building. The restaurant itself might seem like it's closed but make sure you walk around to where the patio area is. They have tables available for you to dine in and they offer take out. Either way, you'll be sure to enjoy your food. Their flavorful meals will have you coming back for more. We got their signature red curry and pad se ew. We wanted dto get the tom kha soup but ended up being too full from our deliciously flavorful selections of foods. Their Thai tea is also super food. Make sure you try it!

Good portions, although almost all of it was rice and sauce with Gerry little being vegetables and protein. Curry was decent comparable to canned curry.

Curry fried rice was exceptional and the chef was a real sweetheart. It was our first time here, but everyone’s plates looked and smelled great

I used to come here a lot on my lunches when I worked in the neighborhood. I haven't been there in over 2 years, and it is still the best thai food I've ever had. I dream about it.

Excellent food -- always fresh and flavorful, and the spicy fried rice is fantastic!

Where do I even begin… This place is by far the best Thai that I have had in Portland and honestly maybe anywhere.. My favorite fried rice was in Corvallis at a place called Tar N Tip. I tried for years trying to find a better or even comparable fried rice, and I could never find it.. Until now!!The flavor is perfect, the rice isn’t sticky, perfect amount of vegetables to rice, every piece of rice is independent of the next grain of rice, it’s not too oily but it’s oily enough that isn’t not dry. Everything was cooked to perfection!! I am beyond impressed.I can say that the fried rice at Sawasdee is the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve been searching for a long time! I will be coming back as much as possible! I have to try one of everything ??
