As if the food isn’t great enough - which it is amazing - ordering and sharing a bit with Luis at the front counter is just simply an additional blessing and fabulous part of the experience of Sammich. They make a great team, they make a great sandwich, Luis makes you want to come back again and again just to say hello and see him smile even if you’re not hungry. BUT go hungry because the food here is out of this world!!!!’ Thanks for being awesome ?
First, the positives: friendly service and good quality ingredients.Now, the more critical part: my Chicago Italian Beef sandwich was tasty, but it was not what I would consider a Chicago Italian Beef sandwich. Nor was the giardiniera anything like what I would call giardiniera. It was more like salsa. The “gravy” was OK but like the meat, was, in my opinion, greatly under seasoned, for Chicago Italian Beef.Still, it was tasty in its own right, and the beef portion was generous. Also, they appear to have a number of other appetizing sandwiches, which I hope to try at some point.
Sandwiches are good but the bread doesn't work with them. They become a soggy mess very quickly. If they had more of a substantial crusty bread to soak it up, I'd be all about this place. Tried it a few times and always the same.
I LOVE Sammich! my all time favorite sandwich place! i’ve been going here for years and I honestly don’t get tired of it! there is no hot sandwich that is bad and there is always a special sandwich of the day! Sammich has my heart! all exclamation marks!
Waited forever for a Pastrami Zombie that was cold when I opened it 30 seconds later. The rye bread seems cheap and wasn’t toasted or marbled, and was completely soaked in the Russian dressing. The pastrami itself was pretty good, but would have paired better with sauerkraut, which disappointingly wasn’t offered.
This was so good, I don't know why I took so long to try this spot out. I got a tuna melt and I was very impressed by how fresh the tuna was, I felt like I was at the beach. I also had their soup of the week, French onion soup and it was so flavorful and delicious. I will be back again most definitely. Warning, this food will put you to sleep omg
First time here. Got Pastrami Zombie. Meat was not greasy which can happen with low grade pastrami. Not too strong of a flavor and smoked nice. Overall I was less than thrilled. There was an enormous amount of slaw, not Cole slaw, but plain cabbage. Mustard soaked into bread, and I didn't ask for Russian dressing which might have made the sandwich more moist. I had a cold dry cabbage sandwich. I appreciate what they do, but at 15.00, it didn't live up to the price. I've found better pastramis for half the price. I can't judge the rest of the menu which looks great, but I wasn't too thrled with this specific sandwhich.
It was very nice and fast. We grabbed food to eat at the falls and was still nice and hot when we got there
The sandwiches here are off the chain! Pastrami zombie all day long. Truly loved it, couldn’t be happier with the quality. Portions are huge, the pastrami is absolutely perfect, and service was fast and friendly!
