Absolutely delicious. The lomo is a must try. They got many choices of Peruvian dishes. As a Peruvian it was more than satisfying to eat here. He makes the food fresh to order which is always a good thing. The price is just right for what you get. The owner was also a cool guy we had a good conversation. Definitely going to bring my family next time I come!
I had the Lamb Leg and my oh my, it was delicious. What really set it off was the housemade hot sauce ? definitely ask for it.Portions were large, I eat a lot and for 18$ I want to be filled up, which 7/10 times isn’t the case; however, I ended up taking almost half of this home for lunch the next day!Finished it off with rice pudding, also fire. Looking forward to trying their coffee soon. Give them a look!
Was really disappointed. Food was extremely salty and the Chicken tasted old. Noodles had no sauce or cream that you would get at an authentic Peruvian restaurant. We had three different dishes and they all were bad. The only “sauce” this dude used was oil.
Spot on Peruvian flavor! Big plates! Try the ice cream! Even the beans and rice, a background feature of the plate, were just right! Ask for the green salsa!
This is the best Peruvian spot in town. The owner is super friendly and they're open late. The lomo saltado is delicious. The ceviche is really good probably the best in town.
We were traveling from far and were looking for a Peruvian meal. We were very surprised that Salt & Pepper was open, since the weather was quite bad. We very much enjoyed our lunch, and even order additional to go with us.The Lomo Saltado we ordered was not only tasty, but looked amazing too. Rafael was very nice, the service was great! Definitely recommend!
A wonderful experience with Raphael. My last night in town and wanted to check out a food truck. He made me the chicken special and it was incredible. Followed it up with this “tricolor” ice cream which is incredible. Great end to my trip.
I was driving through Portland and was hungry. I stopped here and was treated to a delicious meal. I ordered the Ceviche Mixto and everything was delicious. The spice was terrific, the cassava and sweet potato really meshed well with the seafood. I tried Peruvian Dougnuts with honey made with pumpkin and sweet potato. They were so good. The owner saw that I was needing a drink and offered me a Inca cola on the house. The flavor was completely unexpected and I'm looking forward to visiting again!
We were visiting friends in Portland and decided to try out Salt & Pepper Food Cart. So, so good and wonderful staff. Highly recommend!
Came here for a late night bite and this place was absolutely delicious! The service was fast and friendly. I had asked if there was a Saltado de Camarón and the cook offered to make it even though it was not on the menu I was not expecting such kindness! I will definitely visit again!
