The food here is amazing, I have never seen such large cuts of fish on Sashimi Sushi before, the wait staff are a bit busy, however they are still quick to take an deleiver orders.
Extremely large pieces of sushi, it threw me off guard! Initially I thought the pricing was a little high, but after seeing the quantity and tasting it, I think this place is extremely fair. Absolutely would suggest this place to my friends
BEST sushi in Portland! The rolls are huge and delicious. If you get takeout, make sure to order at 2pm, when the ordering system opens, especially on weekends. We recently dined in and surprisingly the wait was only about 15 minutes. I have never had a roll I didn't like there!
You BETTER come hungry because these are the biggest sushi rolls I have ever seen. I saw many a person going home with a box full of sushi because they were like “hey I can easily crush 3 rolls of sushi, it’s a Friday night.” Psych!! The rolls are so big you can barely get a while one in your mouth. I think I’ll come back after fasting. Also make a reservation or you will be waiting outside like the rest of us plebs.
We’ve been enjoying Saburo’s great sushi for about 20 years. Nothing comes close in quality and price!
Great sushi and friendly service. Be prepared for a long wait especially on the weekends (when it is only take out). Dine in is only during the week at the moment. Ordered online at 4:15pm and didn't get our food until about 5:30pm. It was worth the wait, but you definitely need to be prepared.
As usually the quality of the food is great but prices has increases substantially over the past couple years which is understandable with the current economic situation. Since the portions are still big, you are pretty much getting what you pay for compared to getting a fantastic deal a couple years ago. So my only reason to deduct one star is because I wish they would put less rice in their nigiri sushi. This place is still our go to sushi spot for the once in a while special occasion meal.
Great portions pretty good prices long wait but totally worth it I never have had such jumbo yet delicious sushi
One of my favorite places to grab sushi in Portland. Large rolls and a good price. It’s a fun hole in the wall. Sometimes the line can be long but it’s worth it.
Terrible customer service. Truly, no food is good enough to warrant dealing with this place and their staff. They only accept take out and give you an estimate for pick up. We waited over half an hour longer than the estimate we were given. When asking the staff and pointing out that it was beyond the 20-25 minute buffer, still had absolutely no clue of an estimate. They didn’t even bother asking our order number to check on it. They’ve lost our business. Simply not worth it even if it were the best sushi in the world.
