Situated in a residential neighborhood between OHSU and the Willamette River, you might miss it, so turn on your Goggle Maps. Order at the counter and they'll bring you your food but be sure to tell them everything you want on your meal; there are no condiments or spices on the tables. I had a plain cheese burger with fabulous fries and it was excellent - especially the fries. Breakfast is served until 11 am. I would suggest that the owners add a condiments station so that you can compliment their fine food with just the right amount of seasoning.
Times are hard and the hours are long at Ross Island Grocery. If you're on a schedule, or have any self-worth, it's my strong recommendation to avoid RIG. This isn't a grab and go spot — it's where you settle for overpriced, run-of-the-mill fare because the neighborhood is empty and you have 45 minutes to waste. "Avocado" as a sandwich ingredient affords 1/4 of a Hass (four translucent slices), and the staff confirmed this is intentional. Please, sir, I want some more :'(
By far one of the best cafes I've gone to, workers are extremely friendly and kind. The atmosphere is nice and the music is a bop. They also have lot of good snacks from muffins to smoothies, they got it all.
They didn’t have enough chai for my friend’s drink completely, so they completely refunded it and gave them what they have. It still tasted amazing though. Plus they have good internet. I would definitely recommend!
This place has great foods and pretty nice options. I really like the atmosphere which is quiet and laid back.
The owner of this place needs a lesson in manners! I had the misfortune of shopping in the same place today as her, we both were in picking up supplies for our various businesses and the utter rudeness and lack of decency in how she treated the staff was appalling and made me wonder how she treats her own staff. My shadow will not darken her doorstep and may she have business she deserves going forward.
Jennifer (I think that’s her name) is the epitome of a Karen. I’m told she owns this business. I encountered her in a public space treating another human being horribly. Yelling, rude, etc. What kind of business owner does that? Would she like it if someone treated her that way? I will never go here and will tell everyone I know to stay away.
Really just an awful experience over all. The place is filthy, the owner treats her staff horribly in front of customers, coffee is burnt and the food is just awful. The first time I was hoping everyone was just having a bad day, but its been like that all several of the times I tried the place. The last time i went i saw the owner being extremely discriminatory to a marginalized person. Just gross.0/10 do not recommend. Do not support this business.
Lovely for breakfast! We went all 3 days we were in town and got free banana bread from the boss (and all the pastries were very good)
Small little shop but decent selection
