We came down for the moto 1 show and we decided to get dinner before heading back up to Washington, this popped up with good reviews and it honestly deserves better then a 4.5. Everything we had was amazing! Great margaritas and there salsa was to die for. I would definitely come back. The vibe is amazing, the color choices are beautiful and the staff is very friendly. Thank you for an amazing dinner

Came from California to pick up our daughter from college. We met two college mates and another parent at the restaurant. The staff was kind and attentive. Everyone ordered a plate, I ordered the special - pozole verde. The broth was fatty, broth should never be fatty. It's not carnitas, it's not birria, it's pozole. Pozole is a soup. I didn't want to be rude and spoil this special evening so I pulled the waitress aside and spoke to her privately. She apologized asked if I wanted anything else and took my bowl. I said no, I was fine. The check came for $150.00, I had no problem paying but thought it was appropriate for her to remove the $15.00 for the pozole, she refused. We will never return. They had a minute to shine and they didn't. This could have been a different review

Best Mexican food in the city. Huge portions. Great drinks. I always end up with Perfecto Margherita. And the one pictured is of a grapefruit margaritas. O forgot the name. Everyyhing was amazing and terrific service even of it took longer due to staffing issues we we delighted to be there.

Went here for my 29th Birthday last month. Absolutely incredible & perfect outdoor/heated seating! They served me a Tequila shot w/ a candle for the celebration. Chips are made in house and fresh; loved the queso, guac & salsa. Tacos were excellent & I cannot wait to go back!

Went here last Saturday for my fiance's birthday. He is from Texas so we're always looking for good Mexican food, unfortunately this was not great. The queso was pretty good and the meat was tender and flavorful. Sad to pay almost $7 for chips and salsa. Definitely not the "best Mexican food and margaritas in Portland". Margaritas were small and seemed to lack appropriate alcohol content. But the staff was very nice and took the time to really chat with us. This was pretty standard American Mexican food. There are definitely better places for cheaper.

Nice heated patio for outdoor seating. Wait staff service was outstanding along with the food. I really enjoyed the house margarita and wet burrito!

Doubled their outdoor heated seating and ready to serve you their ole potatoes

The food was amazing, some of the best Mexican food I've had in a while. Our waiter Angie was very polite and friendly. The outdoor seating was warm and dry but didn't feel cramped at all. I definitely look forward to my next visit here

What can I say, other than this is hands down the best Mexican place in Portland. I’ve been coming for over 10 years and the quality is consistent. Good drinks, pleasant service, woman owned small business, great variety of classics and new twists to try - it can be busy but that’s because it is delicious!

First time here. Loved it. Food was delish (it takes a lot of heat to impress me with a hot sauce, and theirs did!), great ambiance, and best of all: extremely friendly staff even though they are right off Hawthorne where some restaurants consider themselves too cool for school if you know what I mean. Will definitely be back.
