For those who care about a good cup of black coffee, this place is legit. Had some drip and got a bag of Honduras. The bag delivered on the flavor notes it described.
Only drawback is they close early. But if you're out during the day they have wonderful coffee. Definitely try an espresso, they source wonderful beans.
Timed street parking that’s not to hard to find. Lots of natural lighting, and nice space inside to study or work. Chill atmosphere, and the baristas are super nice! I ordered an iced honey latte; it was good. I’d come back here again as it’s reliable and pleasant for studying, easy and free to park, and a well-priced good latte!

Home of the $5 cup of regular coffee. Granted the breakdown is $4 plus a minimum $1 tip you are socially pressured into with the ipad choices of $1, $2, $3, but the reality is you're paying $5 for a 12oz cup of drip at this place unless you're a total tight wad. Sure, it's inflation they say... but sorry... it costs about $.25 to make coffee at home. I don't see how the privilege of going into yet another ticky tacky no character industrial wannabe hipster joint with attitude (if you don't match the part, don't expect to be loved here) is worth a quite literally 2000% markup.Other than that the coffee is tasty enough to get the second star, but no where no as good as when I make it at home with the bonus of not having to feel like I'm in an oversized aquarium. Speaking of which... Portland, what the heck happened to the old Portland where this type of crapola would never fly east of 23rd?!
This shop is absolutely exceptional. The staff is amazing, they are true coffee nerds in the best way. Their drinks are always amazing and prepared with such attention to detail. Plus the chocolate chip cookies are damn good.If you like good coffee, you are missing out by not going here.

A hip modernized coffee spot with amazing fresh coffee. Ordered the vegan mocha and it was creamy heaven in a glass. Helped that it was a sunny day in December.
