70 years resident of Portland, this is my first trip to the Fish and Chips Window. I haven't had Fish and Chips this good since the Elephant and Castle, in downtown Portland, was operating. Guess that was in the 1970s. Granted, price is steep, but we'll worth it. Only downside was that the Fries are pretty salty. Very friendly staff. I had the Cod and Chips and will try the Halibut next trip.
Been looking for some really good fish-n-chips and we found it. My husband and I tried the sampler with halibut, cod and shrimp. Everything was perfect! The best fish we've had in a while.
Very delicious great flavor, melts in your mouth a touch of lemon to top it off. Tarter sauce so good you be the judge also close to airport for those people coming in for a visit, it's about 7.5 miles. If you're in the area don't hesitate to stop in, you won't be disappointed. Stay hungry my friends. Next week I'll be in Hawaii trying some more good food. I'll keep you posted. Enjoy
First time trying the Cod and Halibut fish and chips and it was fantastic! I’m gluten intolerant and it’s awesome to finally have a gluten free fish option!!!
Best fried cod around. Gluten free. Fries or slaw on the side are both good. Fries won't make it home if you're driving with it next to you. They have other types of fish but I have only done the cod. In front of the little window is a bigger store with fresh seafood. Call ahead and they will have it ready. Parking is good. $15 per meal. Affordable for 3 pieces of fish. Not your grandparents fish sticks! Very cruncy outside and firm flaky white cod inside.

Expensive but very good. I only wish fries were not so salty and that they still served onion rings. Best halibut fish & chips around!
One of the best locations for proper fish & chips in Portland. The fish is superb, batter is light and crisp and the chips satisfy your salty crunch desires. Walk up window makes it easy, parking can be tricky on busy times so be patient!
Unbelievably good gluten-free fish and chips. I had the cod and my friend had the salmon - epic! Super fresh fish and the perfect crunchy batter. Highly recommend.
Docking one star from the restaurant for one reason alone. Breaded Salmon... I tried a piece in the "try 3" combo out of morbid curiosity and got exactly what I expected. A fantastic piece of rich flavorful fish utterly ruined by grease and breading. Such a waste and should have never made it on the menu. If you want great fish and chips, this is great fish and chips though so definitely worth a try, just don't get the salmon.
