So so good! The service is very efficient and there’s actually a lot more seating than you would expect. Maybe because they don’t need a huge kitchen, but they definitely utilize the space well. Food was excellent and staff was lovely. We will be back!
Fantastic sushi place! Great menu, lots of options. The food and sake were perfect. Even the pickled ginger was noteworthy! All the flavors are bright and yummy. Will for sure be back again!
I was dumb & hungry, I ordered without specifying gluten free. I asked as I picked up & one roll was imitation crab which has wheat in it. They were very knowledgeable and actually went above and beyond & remade my roll. Now I know to specify ahead but also how amazing they are. Very excited to give them more business in the future.
Always searching for good sushi around the Portland area. Nice spot with a number of sushi options. Great outdoor seating for grabbing a bite on a nice day.Overall, the staff were very nice & food tasted really good. Getting our food took a bit & the wrapping on the sushi wasn’t great; rolls fell apart and sheets of sea weed weren’t cut through entirely. Friend told me these was uncommon. Despite these hiccups, the Poke bowl & our rolls were very tasty. Will be going back for sure.
03/09/2022: 4.75 out of 5 - Went out after my workout with my Wednesday group, and the group wanted to try a new place we saw and had read about. So, Poke Box Sushi Bar for dinner it was!Upon entering, the staff were quick to address us and get us seated. We definitely came in at a good time. The eatery wasn't busy. Although it wasn't busy, the staff behind the sushi bar had stuff going on, but everyone were friendly and attentive, which obviously makes a more enjoyable experience as new patrons.The establishment is kept very clean. The tables were nicely spaced with clean chairs. The bathroom was kept very clean, which is a big plus. Also, I do often check out the vents above at every eatery I go to, which were very clean at the Poke Box Sushi Bar.Everything on the menu looked appetizing. So, we ordered a handful of rolls. I had ordered and enjoyed the Yuzu Lager, which I've had before. It's very tasty if you've never had it. Worth the try.Everything was made to order, and the presentation was great! It made the time at Poke Box, in a sense, a little more fun. One thing to note, there's nothing fried on the menu.We were all able to sample the rolls ordered. Admittedly, it seemed like a lot, but we realized it was so good that it just didn't last for very long.Our food for the night was exceptional.All in all, at the end of any meal I often will ask, "Would you come back?" My answer? Absolutely! The staff are great, the food and drinks are tasty, and the establishment doesn't partake in any form of discrimination. Also, I would like to try many of the other menu items next time around.So, as I always say, if you ever get a chance, definitely try it once and decide for yourself.Enjoy!
Beautifully presented and tasted amazing. The sushi was very fresh and made with love and care. The miso soup was one of the best I have had so far in the PNW and the garlic edamame was on point. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
This place has amazing sushi and great service. The presentation was nice as well and so was the price. I will be coming back. Great veggie sushi options also. Try the budda roll!

Such good sushi! We enjoyed the edamame and miso soup appetizers yum! The baked salmon roll was perfection! Location was clean and had lots of seating.
Delicious sushi, poke and impecable presentation!Me and my husband just moved to Sellwood and happened to become neighbors with Poke Box Sushi Bar. The presentation is lovely, the owners are super kind and the salsa music is on point! - we took our food to go and the takeout packaging was beautiful!Highly recommend! And we come back again many times over.
