I still highly recommend Pig N' Pancake in any location. This one in particular was a bit smaller than the ones I have gone to. On weekends, it is definitely busier during breakfast but it is the same process. You add your name to the list and wait to be called to be seated. The servers were very friendly and welcoming, despite how busy they were. The food was delicious as always. 100% recommended.
ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. We came here while we were on vacation and there was literally HAIR COOKED into our food. Looked back into the kitchen and NOBODY was wearing a hairnet & all of them had facial hair. I work in a restaurant and this would NEVER be something they let slide. And they still continued to charge us 21+ $ even though we left all of our food basically untouched ? absolutely the most disgusting little hick restaurant I’ve ever been to. Should call it pigs n the kitchen ??
Yummy. Down home, just good cooking. Nothing fancy. In the food mecca of Portland, just what I wanted. Yes there are lots of boutique restaurants out there..but sometimes you just need good and filling.
One of our favorite go to breakfast restaurants. Their breakfast food is always great and they have gluten-free options. Their gluten-free pancakes are so good. You don’t even know how excited I was…. I can never find GF pancakes anywhere. The sandwiches are great too. This gluten-free BLT hit the spot. All the little pig statues around the restaurant and at the register are such a cute touch too.
A perfect little greasy spoon diner. Had a decent waffle-fluffy and good flavor. Good butter. Coffee actually wasnt burnt, which is the usual offering at these places. Price point was great for serving size and quality.Oldies playing on the radio and quiet, older clientele. Waitress was a sweetheart. Clean bathrooms. Definitely will come here again for a breakfast fix!
I had the steak and eggs and found it O.K. Steak wasn't very good. It tasted like cheap meat. Service was excellent, though. My food came out reasonably quick, was cooked how I wanted it to be cooked, and the waitress was very attentive. I think if they worked on the quality of the food, the restaurant would do better business.
If you are looking for dining in low risk restaurant avoid Pig and Pancake on 121st and Glisan. It is normal seating no distance or spacing between diners. Booth seating has no dividers so you could be sitting right behind you. When I asked to move to a table that had more space between diners I was met with an eye roll and a snarky remark that maybe dining in is not for me. We left. I have been coming here for 20 years and it is my go to place for Swedish pancakes. However after being treated so rudely I doubt I will come back. And I know I will not eat there while their concern for the spread of covid is zilch. Caught off guard by the rude behavior of the waitress and lack of concern.
They are high risk when it comes to seating. We were there today and had to cancel our order and leave. We were seated in a booth and no one seated at the booths on either side of us. As soon as we ordered a couple was seated in a booth right behind me. I was wondering what kind of idiocy is this? I found our waitress and asked to cancel our order as there was no safe distancing. She was not happy and said I should not be doing restaurant dining then. Well guess what? She’s right. I will never eat there again. A little smarty pants she was. I have always enjoyed the food there and the service. Nothing wrong with that. But it’s not a safe place to eat with the spread of Omicron. Eat at your own risk.
I've been coming to the Pig N' Pancake in Seaside OR since I was a kid. We weren't able to go to that one due to weather, but this was a happy substitute. Food is delicious, good priced, and staff is friendly.
This is the second time we had driven to Oregon partly to have pancakes at Pig N Pancakes. As usual, the pancakes were light and fluffy, service is pretty quick and staff is super friendly.
