Birthday dinner Waitress was completely self absorbed Took 15 minutes to tell me she was out of my chosen wine. After offering the check to us Took her 15 minutes to come back and process it. Saw everyone else getting much better service.
Letâs start with the good: cheeseboard was phenomenal (amount given and selection), lamb shank was good value, seafood pasta Diavolo good just a bit spicy for the average taste, drinks excellent, special occasion was acknowledged based on the notes left during reservation, service (Pickles) was attentive and informative. The bad: Get rid of the timer and anything pertaining to it. It is poor form and not needed for many reasons: 1. Most folks arenât going to camp out. You are making the exception the rule. 2. Your inside/outside seating areas have more capacity than many other restaurants in the area. 3. Your staff (2 servers, 1 trainee, and a bartender) canât keep up with the volume of patrons/tables you have anyway. I witnessed people sitting for long periods because servers couldnât get to them when the restaurant was mostly full. 4. A sign affixed to the table is not the first greeting anyone wants to see. TRASHY! 5. It forces the servers to push the courses and this is unnecessary and unacceptable. The best course on the menu was the cheese platter and I wasnât able to fully enjoy it because the 2nd course salad and pane bianco literally came 4 minutes after we got our cheeses. 6. Owner, you are negatively impacting your bottom line and your employeesâ ability to generate more income. Whether you care or not, your selfishness impacts their sales and tips. I may have ordered desserts and an aperitif if I hadnât had to worry about the timer, and eating much faster than I can digest. Iâm not sure the bad outweighs the good, especially since there are a lot of good Italian food choices in the city. Get rid of this ridiculous policy and I could see myself visiting often with friends, family and clients. Otherwise, your competitors will be the recipients of your shortsightedness.
We were really excited to go here, due to the menu and the reviews. Although the drinks and food were quite tasty, the service was a bit lacking. It looked like they were a bit understaffed for a Saturday night.
Really excellent. Food was great and The service was exceptional. Drinks and food came out pretty quick and the staff was very attentive. Small space, can get loud if you care about that. I do not. Will return.
Very good food w many selections. Friendly, efficient service. Ambiance not âromanticââ¦tends toward being loud. Most seating quite close together altho we were accommodated w a table not near others when we requested that. We will return!
Went here for dinner with some colleagues and it was spectacular! Yummy pasta and delicious bread. Fantastic service and such a perfect ambiance. Best meal I had in Portland. Will definitely return!
We were originally put off by the strict rules to not be more than 5 minutes late and if we had to cancel within 8 hours, weâd be fined $20 each, but we really wanted to try this place. We got there on time, the staff was friendly, the place was well decorated. Where it fell short: the booth seat we sat on had a huge tear in it, the table had a label on it telling us we had to be done within 90 minutes, the wine selection was mediocre, the cocktails were too sweet, the Caesar salad was dry, everyoneâs entrees came out at very different times, and when we were asked if we wanted dessert and we declined, they told us we had to wrap it up and make room for the next guests (we had been there for 68 minutes and the restaurant was half full). We will not be going back.
Great service and awesome menu! Highly recommend!
literally the best service from jeremiah and the food was absolutely amazing
Excellent and fun from start to finish. The service was outstanding (thanks, Pickles!) and the food was over the top delicious. I had the vegetarian scampi w shrimp and it was to die food. The fettuccini w shrimp was delicious and amazing as well. We do t so creamy and they were more than willing to accommodate wo compromising the taste. Such a great experience.
