We stop here for breakfast family of 6, we got seated right away on Wednesday about 9:40am and Service was great and fast, loved flavors of the French toast, my wife got an omelette and was also good, the portions are very good size, they have several desserts available. Free Parking on the street.
Amazing food! Fresh, tasty, and such a cute restaurant! I am going to make this a must stop, everytime we visit Portland!
I'll start with the bad, expect to wait, a lot. If you're planning to stop by for a quick breakfast or brunch meal, go elsewhere. Waiting to be seated took long enough but even after the fact, we were forgotten on completely. I wish I were kidding but from the moment we sat down to the moment we got our food it was a bit past an hour, which is insane for a small establishment that wasn't too busy. The saving grace of the restaurant was its food, as well as one particular gentleman, Marquis. I very well may be misspelling it or be getting the name wrong entirely but it was a younger man behind the bar area. He noticed we got missed and was attentive for the rest of the day with our drinks and check. If not for him our impression of the establishment would be severely diminished as everyone else working was just nonexistent. The food itself was great. Well seasoned, great serving size, reasonably priced. Honestly the small quaint French cafe theme is charming as well. Overall a good experience if you have plenty of time on your hands. Get better workers, Marquis' back must be broken from carrying the entire service team.
This place was excellent. The vibe in here is very homey, the service is fantastic, and to top it off, the food is also incredible. A bit pricey, and it could be a longer wait time, but it’s so worth it.I’m an avid tea drinker too and the tea selection, while a bit limited, is just fantastic.
Sat at the bar. The bartender was pretty good. 4 stars as I wasn’t crazy about the Monte Cristo but maybe I just wasn’t in the mood. Definitely wanna try some other dishes though. The Sunset juice was quite good, indeed.
The staff were lovely, the food was not. This was my first time to Petite Provence and for such a well regarded brunch spot I was left very disappointed with my eggs benedict. The poached eggs were extremely over cooked, for such a simple dish I was surprised this was even possible.
Sunset juice is amazing, so are the croissants.
Overall the dining experience is below average. The food is average at best depending on what you choose. Under no circumstances should you order one of their brunch cocktails. On multiple occasions I have tried their brunch cocktails, giving them the benefit of the doubt, and have been disappointed every time. The mimosas are just plain incorrectly made and the other cocktails have been completely off balance. A large number of the brunch cocktail descriptions on the menu state that they use champagne. I seriously doubt that. Given the taste of the brunch cocktails I have tried it is highly probable that they use low quality sparkling wine, not champagne. A important difference. The staff that work there are indifferent at best. I am not even sure if some of the staff realize they are actually working? Maybe it's a prescription medication or legal marijuana use problem but regardless it is a problem.
Beautiful and delicious French baked goods.
The best food all weekend long. The home made corned beef hash was the best I've had in many years. That almond croissant was to die for.
