Their Surfo Turfo burrito is my favorite thing ever. The sweet tequila sauce keeps the burrito flavorful, and it even comes with free chips!Quality is inconsistent with this place. Sometimes their burritos are super dry, but other times they are moist and delicious. As for pricing- they used to be super affordable (cheaper than any restaurants around NW PDX), but they've raised their prices lately and started simplifying their menu. However I can't blame them, due to inflation. I would still recommend them to anyone who loves a good burrito!
Ordered take out fajitas w/ guacamole, sour cream and extra tortillas. Received shrimp instead(which i should have kept), 3 tortillas, took back for steak and received a bite of lettuce, a bite of guacamole, no refund for I was charged extra for shrimp. Not a big deal, but zero sour cream and extra tortillas and the fajitas were 75 percent peppers VERY little bites of crockpot- like meat. I'm from the southwest and seriously knew better but was starving.
Super convenient and pretty tasty. Not the highest quality of food, but pretty good for what it is and on par for their casual vibe. They always prepare their food quickly and it’s a comfortable dining area. Decently priced, especially for the area. Better than surrounding Mexican places with more of an authentic feel. No frills, in a good way. Seems like it would always be a mainstay for a casual grab on NW 23rd.
Worst worst food ever! I ordered Taquitos and they are undercooked and cold like they were out of a cooler. The meat was cold inside. We also ordered a bag of chips and the grease was actually dripping off the chips and the bag saturated with oil. I gave one star only because you have to at least pick one to post….. but rather give them a 0
We asked a man on the street where we should eat. He recommended Pepinos. He was a local, so we trusted him. We were sorry. The restaurant is dirty. Sticky, unbussed tables. Even after bussing, still sticky. The two young women cooking and assembling the orders were hard to understand when trying to communicate. The order taker missed several items we requested. We did eventually get the part of the order that was missed. The employees seemed overwhelmed, friendly but didn’t really know their products. The food was so-so. Nothing to write home about. Some of it was downright disappointing. We did not take home leftovers. But the horchata was fantastic!!!
I have been here twice and have ordered the bean and cheese burrito. The first time it was really tasty I could taste the cheese throughout the whole burrito but last time it seemed like there was just a pinch full of cheese and not very tasty. I will definitely be back as the price is pretty reasonable but hope I don’t end up disappointed again
Ordered for pickup. Arrived, wasn’t ready. Waited in massive line. At the front of the line, she said “6 minutes”. 20 minutes later she came over and asked what I’d ordered. Theyd “lost my ticket”. She took my order again. But, the ticket went to the BACK of the line. I waited another 20 minutes. No apologies. The food isn’t great, not worth the over-an-hour wait AT ALL.
Good food and a good prices I'm always stuffed when I eat here as i order too much food!
The Tortilla soup is really really good!! It is packed full of flavor and has just the right amount of spice. I’m impressed! Also they gave us near a full bag full of chips, like a full bag you would buy at a grocery store! They were super good chips and were really good with the soup!We ordered delivery from Postmates and everything was piping hot when it arrived because it was packed with tin foil. They care about their deliveries and were very speedy! I will definetly order the soup again :)
Make sure you add meat to the dishes or burritos or they give you just beans and rice. The salsa is excellent ?
