Pasture PDX is what the NE, dare I say Portland, was missing in terms of a sandwich shop. Super high quality ingredients and combinations. They give the sandwich the love it deserves. Excited to try other menu items, thanks Pasture PDX!
Really disappointment in our lunch today. My friend and I split the “summer” sandwich with pork. The pork was so chewy, thick and cold- it had no color to it at all and giant chunks of fat. It was highly unappetizing. It was like biting into actual human flesh. It was hard to choke down- I ended up picking mine off the sandwich because it was making me gag. The greens were dressed with a dressing that was SO insanely tart. For $33 to split a sandwich and small plate of greens I expected so much more. What a bummer!
Do your taste buds a flavor and try Pasture PDX!My partner and I tried them yesterday by the recommendation of a close friend and they lived up to the expectations. We tried their O.G. (house made pastrami sandwich made in the "style" of a banh mi with our chili oil featuring Oregon Hazelnuts) and The Braise (Braised Beef Shank, Meat Jus, Chimichurri, Swiss). The meat was juicy and flavorful and the bread was crispy and soft. They are making sandwiches and cutting meat so well here, we'll definitely be returning soon to try more from the menu!
Best damn sandwiches in the northern hemisphere. Seriously delicious food with an emphasis on quality meat. Great vibes, beautiful atmosphere, and a fantastic location. These guys ruined sandwiches for me. I will forever be disappointed unless I'm eating at Pasture PDX!
Awesome Bahn Meat sandwich, great wine selection. Old school butchery options in a unique setting. Sneak preview the menu and get your own raw ingredients to go. Check out the cookbooks for ideas while you wait. ?
AMAZING BahnMeat sandwich. Incredible service and cute space. Chef Kei is very knowledgeable and puts great care into everything you see in the store. 5 stars always, and worth every penny.
This area has needed an independent butcher for a while now; and Pasture PDX deliver! The meat quality and selection is fantastic.Chef Kei is going to blow up; and their dinners will quickly outgrow their current 4-table setup. Get in now before reservations become impossible! In-sane cuisine - some of the best in my life (which I don't say lightly).
My wife and I stopped in last week. The food was superb. Our one complaint was the chairs. While physically beautiful to look at, the front legs stick up beyond the surface of the seat which makes sitting in them extraordinarily uncomfortable. We both aren’t small people but we aren’t especially large either. Instead of being able to focus on how good the food was (truly fantastic) we instead found ourselves shifting uncomfortably the whole meal. We hope the owners will consider removing the part that sticks up on some of the seats so that there are options to be more comfortable as we would love to return again and again.Truly, we can’t reccomend the food enough!
This review is for the pimento cheese. A KY girl born and bred that grew up eating pimento cheese every damn day after school, I love it. Whenever I see it I try it. NYC, SF, other Portland establishments, some decent tries. The more highbrow the place, usually the more mediocre, pimento cheese ain’t fancy.I saw it in the cold case as I checked out Pasture and of course, had to buy it. The first time I tried I inadvertently said out loud OH MY GOD. It’s wonderful and I have to physically restrain myself from polishing it off in one crazy sitting. I don’t eat beef but I will be back for that pimento cheese. Thank you Pasture!
Dang, these sandwiches are SO good.Ive been here twice now and had two different sandwiches. The quality of the ingredients is superb, the service is fast, and the people working the counter are incredibly nice. I’m so glad that this spot has opened! Yay, Pasture PDX!
