I was excited to try this restaurant. The food looks great on the reviews and when it is in front of you. However, I was a little disappointed after a few bites. I tried the Plato Cubano. The presentation is great, but the food kinda lacks flavor. With all that said, I think the Hot Chocolate was great. Maybe I'll go back and try something else in the future.
I have been going to Pambiche for years (well over 10 years) and I have never been so disappointed. They got rid of the oxtails which was one of the most delicious things on their menu. Not only that, I was told by the waitress they removed tostones from their menu as well, so the only option is to have ripe plantains. If you don’t like sweet plantains, then you’re out of luck. I ended up ordering the Plato cubano, when we got the plate, the food looked amazing. However what we weren’t expecting was this to be extremely flavorless. We tried adding the two sauces to the the plate to give it more flavor, but it wasn’t enough. Over time the recipe for the two table sauces have changed dramatically and now has a very mild taste. I gave two stars because the appetizer order of empanadas and the beans that came with the Plato cubano were absolutely delicious.
It's been a long time since I ate here and now I wonder why it's been so long! It is delicious. We tried almost all the desserts and several entrées. The empanada is a must try. There's several flavors to choose from. The coleslaw is more like a salad and it's really good!
Stopped in for a quick bite. Got the Okra, corn and chicken empanada. It was pretty good. Would definitely try the others! We also got a hot chocolate and tres leches cake. Both were very delicious. The tres leches was absolute perfection! Definitely will be back to try more food...and desserts!
We were looking a fun new experience before an event in Portland. This was a great choice. Delicious food and drinks. My sister is hard of hearing and the background music was a little tough for her to hear our conversation but it didn't effect our good time. Our server was great and attentive.

Best Caribbean food in the Portland area. Cuban sandwiches are a favorite of mine and these are top notch.

Everything is delicious! From the empanadas, tamales, plátano, cafe, chocolate, main dishes and desserts. Although super busy, the staff does their best to accommodate. I highly recommend.
