This was a great place to eat pizza and grab some drinks. The restaurant layout is excellent and it's open with a long bar. The inside is beautiful and the bar and bar backdrop really set the tone for the restaurant. We ordered the margarita pizza and added prosciutto and arugula. They piled on the arugula which was great. We also ordered the Fettunta and some beers. The pizza tasted great, but our last two slices we noticed they were soggy in the middle. I don't know if that's from the sauce, but we didn't notice it on the other slices. Maybe because we ate the other slices quicker, but they were soggy and kind of ruined the rest of our pizza. The Fettunta bread had a really good flavor, but it may have been toasted a little too long. The drinks were good and our waitress was really nice, friendly and helpful. The hostess was a little rude and she was training someone, but could have showed a friendlier attitude towards customers. A very nice and clean place.
Great neopolitan style pizza! Started with a fried risotto with mozzarella which was nice and crispy. We had the Margherita, Mushroom, and Maple Pig pizza. The Margherita was a bit too saucy but delicious nonetheless. The maple pig was a nice balance of salty sweet. It is a bit of a fork and knife pizza. The sweet bacon was reminiscence of Chinese BBQ Pork. The mushroom was my personal favorite as a mushroom lover. The mushrooms was fragrant and tasty with a nice crispy crust.
Unbelievable find! The best pizza crust in town HANDS DOWN, & can’t wait to try the rest of their selection. Super authentic & something you would expect to find in Italy. Love how many regular & seasonal pizzas they have, & especially excited that they offer arugula as a topping. Amazing energy in this space & a great bar with 3 or 4 bottles of everything you could want ?
Amazing pizza! We came here after seeing the reviews and were hoping for some great pizza and a highly recommended kale salad. We were a group of six and had a reservation. The place was packed and they ended up having to turn people away because it was so busy. The place smells like a warm pizza when you walk in, so good. Their dough is a sourdough starter that is over 100yrs old and taste amazing. Our table shared some kale salad and a radicchio salad, both were very good. I ordered the Italian sausage with mushrooms and shared with another person who orders the primavera pizza. If you like truffles, the primavera is your go to, so good along with pork belly and asparagus, subtle flavors but very good. The sausage is a bold flavor with a little heat because of the peppers but oh so good. We also had their Pinot noir which was very good as well. Highly recommend to come here and enjoy the pizza!
Oh my gosh this place is amazing! Nice staff, great pizza! Drinks are alittle expensive for what you get. Tall skinny glass filled all the way to top with crushed ice got about three sips of liquid not happy hour time
Tasted great but would recommend not getting the Sicilian pizza since it's not really a deep dish pizza like we were told by our waitress. The crust taste more like a dense French baguette.Iced tea has free refills but tasted weak and underwhelming. Even Lipton tea would be far superior to this disappointment.Overall good experience!
The pizza here is amazing! The crust is crispy filled with huge bubbles making it very light and enjoyable. The toppings are high quality and the selection of pizzas and toppings are carefully chosen. The sit down at oven and shaker gives a calm, cozy and yet a little up scale vibe. It’s enjoyable to sit down, chat and catch-up with friends or family. I definitely recommend.
The absolute BEST ceasar dressing I have ever had. Pizza was also delicious... great hand tossed amd wood fired crust, premium.quality toppings (the pepperoni was so unctuous and tasty) and the hand pulled mozz can't be beaten.
I went here a couple years ago (March 2020 before world shut down) and forgot to review! This place was highly recommend by friends. I got the spicy salami pizza (which is wood fired) and it did not disappoint. I wished I went there earlier in my stay so I could eat the leftovers but I was flying out later that day. Staff was very friendly and it was a casual atmosphere.
I had never been to Oven and Shaker before tonight, but now I'm putting it on my rotation lists for restaurants that I refer people to and order out from. I had the arugula salad which was so tasty and the gluten free crust italian sausage pizza. I ordered the Pineapple Trainwreck cocktail which was delicious and not too sweet. Split the pie and salad between myself and a friend and it was the perfect portion for two for a light dinner. Incredible ambiance as well. Great place for a Tuesday night dinner.
