TO THE OWNER (I am giving 5 stars so you read this, and bc I don't think its fair your employee cause a bad rating)My friend and I went to the shop around 1220pm-140pm on Tuesday 7/12. Once we entered the shop it was very obvious the female barista "helping" us didn't really care to based on the lack of speaking/greeting and the uncomfortable blank staring for close to a minute. I broke the tension said "Hi" and just started to order, the barista cut me off with extreme sarcasm and said "I have no idea what that is..." and looked at me like I was stupid for even asking. Once I was done ordering, she then proceeded to glare at my partner waiting for him to order whilst making mine (zero vocal communication) he ordered and we waited. Once our coffees were done she yelled out our order we were one of three patrons in an already uncomfortably quiet setting.. I went up grabbed the drinks said thank you, she completely ignored me like I hadn't said anything. We left and sat there stunned for moment with the whole experience but moved on with our day. I highly suggest this to be a coaching experience with your baristas. You never know what is going on in someone's life, we went there to try something new and have fun with the day. Left feeling disrespected, disappointed and confused as to what we did to deserve the interaction we received. I wish we could have enjoyed the spot since we are regulars to the area, an old friend had highly recommended it and I was excited to try the special coffee that made them so happy. (There were too employees working, the dark haired girl with tattoos is the one this experience happened with)Hope this finds the right person.
My favourite coffee amongst the many great options in Portland!I just can't get enough of the Oregon - *hops*, salt, and caramel in my latte. YES ?
Small shop that has outdoor sitting area. It has a neighborhood hangout kind of feel. Coffee that I had was... okay. (I had Americano) Initial taste was good, but it finished with a strange off-taste. Perhaps it was just an aberration. I will likely give the place another chance. Never say Never, I suppose. (Sorry, I just could not resist. :) )
We ordered the rich kid and it didn't taste good. They refused to exchange the drink and charged us for a brand new drink. The price of the drink already is pricey at $7 now paying for another feels like an absolute rip off!
A very disappointing experience, since I had heard good things about this business. Had a mocha; it was alright, nothing special. Shop is very small, with no information anywhere about why the business is named "never" or what the flavors are of the unusually named coffees (wow, what a major missed "selling" opportunity!). The music was loud enough that I had to shout to order (yes, I wore a mask), obnoxious enough that I did not want to stay (punk??), and the female server unpleasant enough that I do not plan to return or recommend this coffee shop. Overall, not worth my time, my money or my fuel to drive there.
Coffee was balanced well but had a muted flavor. Also, the pastry was overcooked and crunchy. The staff and a couple were chatting and blocking the doorway and didn't move for a significant amount of time. I felt as though I was inconveniencing them by coming in.
They always have excellent coffee Highly recommend. COFFEE Super smooth with great taste. Friendly service
Never coffee is great! Definitely try one of their specialty drinks!
Coffee is delicious, employees are thoughtful and knowledgeable. However it would be nice if the covered area around the corner was upgraded a little bit. Winter mornings are cold and it’d be nice to have a better shelter since there is no indoor seating.
Really cool lattes that taste good. Just a tad pricey but you get what you pay for.
