Ordered the Nipsey Hussle, the description sounded delicious. Presentation was amazing then I realized the shrimp were cold. I wish that would have been in the description I would have ordered something else. I took a couple of bites the sandwich was ok, but I wouldn't order it again, I'm really not in to cold shrimp. I gave 3 stars for presentation and the lady that took my order was super sweet.
My tip amount was entered incorrectly. When I explained the situation there was no remedy offered for it. Also, I was surprised the Nipsey Hussle was advertised as a brioche bun. It looked no different than a Franz hot dog bun. Food was alright, tasty but value was not there. The shwarma place in the same location is much better and WAY more bang for your buck.
I like that the gumbo I feel like it had way too much okra in it , and could have used a little bit more just from the lemon but other than that I thought it was very tasty... I also have some banana pudding and I loved it but I feel like it could have more cookies and less bananas but also was very good.....
I freaking love you guys. I’ve tried the Shrimp and Grits when I lived in Pdx, and it was simply the best. I’ve moved to Vancouver and I still order that meal quite often despite the fact that delivery cost as mush as the meal itself. You’re the best! <3

Good gumbo and friendly employees
Brandon the owner allows his management partner Griffin to touch and make all the commissary food for all 3 establishments. Griffin has not bathed or worn clean clothes for over a YEAR. you are prone to getting a food born illness if you consume anything from either mumbo gumbo carts or eat at their new resturant grits n gravy. this is a public safety issue not to mention we are in the middle of a pandemic I might add and the person that makes large batches of food for this company is unsanitary and refuses to bathe or have clean clothes which I also might add is one of the first rules in the Oregon food handlers rule book. shame on you Brandon for allowing this and condoning this behavior. I know you can smell him. everyone can. it is a simple solution to fix and you refuse to tell your employee to show up to work with the basic hygiene practices then you distribute food to the unknowing public.
I can’t imagine a life without Mumbo Gumbo’s gluten free gumbo. Let’s support them to make sure none of us has to live through that nightmare. So, so, So good!
