Accommodating & delicious. What a cute place that will make you feel like you’re next to an old train station in the bayou. Smoke from the kitchen helps to set the tone as does friendly & laid back staff. Very attentive. The food is 10/10. The red beans & rice had just enough spice. Great vibe and fun area. Side note- the pecan pie LOOKED amazing. Straight out of an old homemade New Orleans kitchen.
Stopped by for dinner on a Saturday. Required reservations to get a seat inside, so sat at the bar. Got the two meat option: blackened chicken, crispy edges, Mac n cheese & collard greens. Overall it was quite good. Least favorite was probably the mac n cheese, nothing too special. The two meats were very flavorful & fairly tender. The crispy edges were not too fatty, which was nice. Would come back, for sure
Went with family and had an incredible time our didn’t get the name of the gentleman in front but he was so sweet and kind. The food was awesome, 10/10 I ordered the catfish 1 piece thinking it wouldn’t be that big but it was a nice size. I can’t wait to come back when I take another trip to Oregon!
Spectacular service, very attentive staff. My favorite was the burnt tips, which was mouthwatering and left you wanting for more. The brisket was slightly dry, but adding the sauce gave it that extra flavor. I enjoyed the coleslaw, but not really the collard greens, it is a vinegar base flavor. Overall, I will be back since a girl from the south will always crave bbq!
Amazing food here! Beyond amazing really! I was provided great customer service and love that they sell art from the local community members here. The bathroom is pretty cool as well & definitely a great place for selfies. Thank you team for a great experience, I’ll be back again soon!
The bar manager is always super nice and helpful and pours a stiff drink. This is one of the best and underrated southern comfort food in Portland. Best collard greens and burnt ends in the area! Come support, you wont be disappointed!
Truly enjoyed griddle cakes and southern stack on our recent visit to Portland. Nice, comfortable outdoor dining. Allows you to peoplecw watch while you eat. Great staff. Staff wears masks. Great breakfast. A good memory.
Called and asked if busy. They said no but we stop seating at 7:15. We were 9 min away and arrived in the restaurant at 7:13 and they said they won't seat us. I said it's 7:13 and he said yup and we're no longer seating. But sat the couple in line before us. He told us no at 7:13. He was rude and obviously didn't want to work. The place was not busy. I was excited for shrimp and grirs.
If they don’t make their Wing Week 2021 wings a permanent fixture, man, I will be very sad. They were only place out of all the wing spots that served 6 full wings (drumstick, wing and tip). But these wings also delivered in flavor, layer after layer. The smoked taste and texture of the chicken meat, the seasoning and grilling and of course that amazing smothered ranch coating with enough heat that it cuts right through the heaviness of all of these components. Even their side pickle pairing was on point, and complimented the flavors where other places either did not provide one or just threw something together. Thank you for this amazing dish guys. I will be back.
The food smelled SO good, I forgot to take pictures because I couldn't wait to dig in. But here's the leftovers I brought home... and what I'll say is, WOW. We are so glad we finally made it to Miss Delta's! I had the fried chicken (breast and wing) and even the breast was tender, juicy, crispy and absolutely delicious. The gumbo was equally good, rich and hearty. And the sides were just as good... we had candied yams, mac & cheese & collards - which had delicious chunks of pork in them. Portions were - plentiful - and we both came home with leftovers. Definitely go visit Miss Deltas!!
