It's small but the service is personable and the quality of ingredients are fresh. I and my daughter enjoyed this place. It's a go to when we're in this neighborhood.
This place straight up time warped me to Moeyo Mensuke in Osaka. I haven't been able to visit Japan in a couple of years, so thank you for giving me some much needed comfort food and nostalgia. That laska shrimp ramen is ?? and the scorpion roll was absolutely delicious. I'm glad I have a legit ramen shop right down the road from me. Oishii! ?
My veggie bowl was tasty but it would be nice for more vegetarian selections on the menu. In fact, unless you ask them to remove the egg from it, there are no vegan selections. Also, I was expecting more veggies other than seweed and mushrooms. What happened to broccoli or carrots, for example?
Great place loved the fresh sushi made an very skilled great customer service ?Definitely will be coming back again and I highly recommend this place if your in the area to grabs some lunch or whatever it maybe for your day.
this is very nitpicky but valid. when eating out for sushi i prefer free pour soy. opening a little packet at the table is less than ideal for me.i ordered spicy tuna (dine in) and negihama (take away)negihama a bit clumsy to eat, could not get a whole mouthful from each bite. very tasty, however.cool spot, can tell why they have been around for a while now.
The Shoyu chicken ramen is soooooo good, one of my favorite ramen spots in Portland. Rare to find ramen w/o pork and it is sooo flavorful. My only complaint is they are not open every day of the week!
usually don’t leave reviews but the staff was completely un helpful and stand-offish the prices weren’t the same as what the menu says online and i’ve made better instant ramen at home with an egg and some bacon
The girl at the counter was incredibly rude when we walked in with a party of seven and we walked out because of it. We did not even order food. We have no regrets about not eating here.
Super Rude HostessI came to this establishment because my girlfriend recommended it and wanted to meet up for sushi. I got there early and there was a pretty big line the lobby was full. I walk in and look for a menu board there is one hanging and it doesn't have any ingredients on it just the names of the items. so I look for a different one. there is one on the outside of the door so I walk back outside and someone leaves behind me and leaves the door open and I was about to walk back in and the girl at the front counter has come out and glares at me and says we need to keep this door closes with more nasty tone then a power tripped teen and slams the door in my face. I just about lost it but I gave her the benefit of the doubt and waited for my friend. when I order she was still incredibly rude I asked about getting rolls made without deep fried shrimp in it and she said they don't sub they would just take it out and charge the same. I guess I was taking to long to order because she seemed to be irritated by me so I order and sit down. I end up seeing an acquaintance and he walks over to me to say hi and she flagged him down asked him what he was doing and where he was going that she could help him at the front counter. she was confused and told her he was just saying hi to me. he was so put of by her demeaner that he didn't order and just left.I wont be coming back.
The food is so fresh and delicious. The employees are so nice too. Great place to have lunch or dinner!
