High honors, honor role, honor system

Get on the Honor Roll and grab a drink before heading to the soaking pool! This claustrophobic little pub is one of my favorties here, just across from the front desk. Frequent drink specials especially during the holidays, friendly service, and a cozy aesthetic. Cute, intimate and great drinks!

Our room was named after the long term school janitor and his story was displayed in the room. We had caulk boards, and there was plenty of space. The bathroom was on the small side. We had a tough time getting the room to warm up, Eventually we turned the thermostat up as high as it would go and room maybe got to 70 degrees. The bed was comfortable and the room was very quiet. We stayed in a larger room in the main building. Others in our party were in the annex and their rooms did not have nearly as much character as ours. The common areas, bars, restaurants are fun. All kinds of items decorate the walls ranging from Kennedy school history to bizarre knick-nacks. Service in all areas was efficient, but not overly friendly. At $245 per night plus tax, our room was expensive and had it not been for all the other entertaining "stuff", would have been considered a really poor value.

An elementary school that is converted into a speakeasy, bar, restaurant, ballroom for receptions, hotel, theater and I don't know what else...what a concept. This place had such a cool vibe. I just went for a drink, but I would love to come back with more time to check out the whole property. This is the most eclectic place I have ever been to.

Stayed here recently for a family gathering and enjoyed the uniqueness of the rooms. They were clean and refurbished, but still had that old time feeling. Definitely a little small for the price, but it seems like that's part of the allure. Lots of activities/social gathering areas around the property too and the staff was very friendly. Had coffee waiting at the bottom of the stairs in the morning and we were able to get a late checkout time no problem. Overall a pretty good stay!

I had been looking forward to staying here for several years. I came in with crutches and a painful broken foot. We checked in at 7 pm and the room they gave me was the furthest away from the lobby as it could be, and up a set of stairs. I asked if I could get a closer room and they gave me the same room, but on the ground level, facing the parking lot. The room was nice, and clean, but that was very disappointing to have to walk about 200 steps to my room. It must have been full. :(

This not a place to stay in the winter. I froze and when I finally fell asleep both mornings either the room next doors alarm clock went off or our smoke detector went off at 1:50 in the morning for no apparent reason. And don't get me started with the cold food delivered for room service. And they also have a live band each night, that might sound good if you are there in the restaurant but through the vents in the room it was like cats in a bag yowling. Worst hotel stay I have ever had in my travels. The school is historically amazing but not for a hotel stay location.

Enjoyed our quirky room and the scenic hot pool, but the bars and restaurant were a bit tired. Be prepared for big crowds of day visitors. Nice neighborhood, with many nearby cafes. Easy parking and lots of fun things to see on the property.

The unexpected seems to be around every corner. There are lots of nooks an crannies with murals, mosaics, and just odd and interesting things to explore. This was my only visit to the Kennedy School. We wandered and after lunch at the Courtyard Restaurant, we wandered some more. The place is historic and a feast for the eyes. The lunch, however, was disappointing as it was not really worth feasting on. Our lunches, sounded great from the menu. They took a very long time to arrive and were just "o.k." when they did. The cold items were room temperature and the items which should have been hot were tepid.

To be clear we did not spend the night here, just an hour or so browsing, what a great idea to convert a school into an event center and hotel. We walked around for about 45 minutes and checked out the sites. The soaking tub was amazing and the theater quite large. Gift shop was reasonable and the restaurants and bars were quite busy. We sat and people watched near the back entrance which was enlightening. A little pricey but the rooms are huge and the ability to have everything under one roof is amazing. Next time i will stay here and give you the details as a guest rather than an onlooker
